Cross my heart

It was another star-filled night and the full moon was high in the sky. Aria knew that tonight had to be the night. She didn't have another choice if she wanted ever to see her family again and better yet...survive.  5 years ago Aria was kidnapped from the border of her pack while out on patrol, everything happened so fast there was no time to mind-link for backup or even realize what was happening until it was too late. As the clock on her wall hit midnight Aria looked down at the rusty knife in her shaky hand and tried to calm herself down but fear was the only thing she seemed to be able to feel at this moment in time.  Fear for her life, fear about what she was about to do, and above all, fear of the unknown for she didn't know what awaited her if she managed to successfully escape. Would she truly be free? or would she be looking over her shoulder for the rest of her life?.  The truth was she didn't have time for these thoughts she needed to get ready and so with small steady steps she walked over to the window and gazed upon her secluded surroundings. She had always loved the forest and would often dream about how she used to spend her days running through the forest within her territory back at Blue Moon. Then she saw something in the distance or rather someone that brought her back to reality. It was the figure of Noah Bennet, the guard who had been assigned to her by her kidnappers to make sure she didn't escape; he stood there at the edge of the forest for a few minutes before making her way towards her and she knew it was time.  Aria made her way towards her bedroom door and slowly open the door just enough for her to slip out and made her way towards the stairs as carefully as she could so she didn't wake any of the sleeping rouges, she couldn't afford to make a mistake like that it would cost her life. Soon enough she reached the backdoor and found it unlocked just as she had been told it would be and slipped out to find Noah waiting for her.  "Your late!" He spat at her. Shocked flashed over her face for a brief moment. Yes, Noah was one of the rouges responsible for her kidnapping but he has never spoken to her like that nor hurt her during her time in captivity so his outburst was something unexpected. "I'm sorry. I was scared one of the other would wake up" she whispered but he just ignored her and hurried her along towards the forest edge before anyone found them.  "Why are you helping me?" she asked but Noah just kept pulling her alone without a single word. At first, she thought he hadn't heard her but the truth was it was impossible for him not to, they were werewolves after all so the reality was he had chosen to ignore her. As they reached the forest edge she asked again in a more demanding tone while prying herself out of his grasp but before he could say anything sirens started to blare. They had been caught.  Before Aria could fully process what was happening she heard Noah shouting at her but she was frozen and spacing out with fear making her unaware of what he was saying. A few seconds later Aria returned from her daze and Noah's words become clearer and louder. "RUN! ARIA RUN DAMNIT!" before she could protest she was pushed towards the forest just as howels pierced the air. "NOW" he roared at her and with the dashed deeper in the forest to try and escape her own personal hell leaving the one person who had helped her behind and with him so many unanswered questions...
