"What the f**k is she doing here?" "Randy!" Allie knew it was coming, but did not realize how immediate it would be. She had hoped that, considering the time of night she was arriving, everything would hold off until the morning. It was not the case with Jake's older brother. "What the hell is she doing here? You have a lot of nerve showing up here after everting that you have done to this family." Randy stood and glared at her. He could not fathom what possessed her to even think about stepping foot on this property again. After everything that she had done to his family, he was not going to easily let it slide. "Get the hell off of my property. You are not welcome here, Allie." Charlie stood and took a step away from his seat, hoping this would scare Allie back into her car and out of town. He was surprised that she didn't even seem to flinch. "Listen, I know-" "You don't know anything! We do not have to listen to a damn word that you have to say. You heard my dad. Get the hell off of our property now, or I will remove you myself." "Hey, Randy, you need to relax a little bit. That is still my daughter you are talking to." "Uncle Andy, you know how this family feels about her. Why would you and Aunt Tina think that it was okay to invite this lying b***h here? Do you not remember what she did to Jake? Don't you remember what he went through just because she could not keep her legs closed?" "Randy, stop!" It didn't matter to Jake what happened in the past at that moment. His Allie had come back, and he was not going to let his family run her off before they had the chance to talk. He was not going to allow his brother to talk to her like that, even if it was to defend what he had been through. "No, Jake! I won't stop. She didn't get the chance to see how her acting like a w***e affected you and this entire family. She didn't worry about you like Mom did, like Dad did. Hell, even like I did. She was getting knocked up and playing house with someone who was supposedly just a friend." "Randy, it's okay." "No, it's not. You may be too blind to see it right at this moment, but it is not okay. It wasn't okay that you-" "Stop! Randy, you need to calm down. I know that emotions are running high right now but yelling and screaming are not going to get us anywhere." Allie had stood there as Randy yelled at her and called her name after name. She didn't have the energy to defend herself. She knew that she deserved all the hate that Randy had for her. She was surprised that Jake was defending her. The one person who deserved to be the most upset and angry with her, came to her defense. Jake's dad Charlie looked as if it was taking every ounce of control not to grab her up and physically throw her off of the property. Even in the darkness, with only the glow of the citronella candle lighting the porch, she could see his face red with anger. Allie glanced at Jake's mother and noticed the nervous expression while she absent-mindedly fiddled with the zipper on her jacket. "Guys, come on. Stop," Jake pleaded. "It's fine. I'm okay." "No, it's not, Jake. She destroyed you and destroyed this family. She does not get a free pass." "I said it was okay that she came," Amy said a little louder than she intended. "What?" "Tina and Andrew asked me and I said it was fine. This needs to be resolved." "Seriously, Mom?" "Yes. This family needs to be fixed. I cannot continue tiptoeing around subjects with myon sister so that no one's feelings get hurt, or it doesn't bring up some past conflict. It all needs to be discussed and put behind us It has been long enough. I am not asking you to become best friends and welcome each other with open arms again, but some mutual respect would be nice." "You told them this was okay without even asking me first? This is our house. We should both have a say as to who comes to our home." "I know that you would have thrown a fit and shot down the idea right from the start without hearing me out. I made the decision to put this family back together." "It was still not right, Amy." "So it doesn't matter that this conniving b***h nearly caused you to lose your son? Mom, this should have been a family discussion. You had no right to decide that she was welcome here." "Randy, you best watch your mouth. This is my home. I have every right to decide who I do and don't let in. You speak to me like that again and you will be on the list of people not allowed here." Any glared at Randywhich caused him to rethink the way he was speaking to his mother. "Sorry," he whispered. Andrew looked at Allie. "Where is Dom?" "He's in the back asleep." "Good! Leave his ass there. I cannot believe you have the audacity to bring that kid here. What kind of person are you? Do you enjoy hurting my brother, you sadistic b***h?" "Randy! Stop!" Allie felt like bolting past her father, hopping in the truck and removing herself and her son from the entire situation. While she may deserve the insults and name calling, her son did not and she was not going to subject him to any of that. Andrew walked over to the truck and got Dominic out of the back seat. "Hey, Buddy." "Pop Pop! I missed you!" "We missed you too. Nana is on the porch. Let's go see her." Andy carried his grandson over to the group, Randy still tearing into Allie. "Nana!" Dominic yelled and wiggled out of Andy's arms. He ran over to and wrapped his arms around Tina's legs. "Hey, buddy, how was the trip?" "It was fun. We stopped some places along the way. I am a little tired, even though I fell asleep for a little bit in the backseat." All arguing came to a halt when the light from the candles allowed everyone to get their first look at Dominic.
