I woke up this morning with a slight headache, and I wish I didn't have to go out today, but I couldn't miss class . So, reluctantly, I got off my bed and went into the bathroom to take a shower.

After taking my shower, I quickly dressed and picked up my phone to check the time and it was already 8:15am. My class is by 9am and the drive to my school will take 30mins.

I rushed out of my apartment and was welcomed by the morning breeze. I smiled to myself, not knowing why I smiled, but I felt as if something wonderful was gonna happen today.

I got into my car and started the car engine. I was smiling all through my drive to school. Today been Monday, the road was busy as usual with people rushing to work, some going to school and some trying to catch a bus and that caused a little traffic.

I got to school by 9:50 and I drove to the parking lot to park my car. When I got out of the car, I saw my best friend Mike, who also happens to be my beta, heading towards me.

Oh! Sorry I forgot to mention that I'm a werewolf and an alpha and, as an alpha, we have got to have a beta.

"Hey, good morning" I said to Mike, which he answered with a hug to my surprise.

"What's up?". I asked him.

"I miss you man". He replied, and I smiled at him.

"I miss you too buddy, how was your trip?". I asked him.

"It was fun. My parents weren't happy you didn't come with me to see them". He replied.

"I'll make it up to them next time". I said and he nodded in reply.

"What's up, are you sick or something because you look as if you haven't slept". He asked.

"No, I'm okay. I just woke up this morning with a slight headache, that's all, but I'm fine now that I'm seeing you". I replied with a smile and put my arm across his shoulder.

"Guess you can't live without me". He said and we both laughed.

"Seriously buddy!". I said

"Let's go to class or else we'll be late ". He said.

We headed to class for our first lecture. Students were everywhere on the school grounds, some in groups, while some were heading to their various classes. But as we neared our class something I never expected happened, I smelt a strange sweet scent in the air that made my alpha wolf react instantly.

This scent gets stronger as I get near my class and I could feel my pheromones being released as my wolf wants me to find the person with the scent.

I've never felt like this before. I felt a sudden urge to see who was releasing this scent and devour him/her, not minding who was watching. Immediately Mike and I entered our class, my eyes instantly sighted the most beautiful creature I've ever laid my eyes on.

He was seated in the corner of the class, he was staring at me and I realized he had the most beautiful Sapphire mixed with Aquamarine Blue eyes. I must admit I've never seen a person with that type of eye colors before and it made me want to touch them. His face was also breathtaking, he had light tone skin.

He has blonde hair, and I didn't fail to notice that his lips are pink in color. He averted my gaze but that didn't stop me from staring at him and I noticed he was putting on a blue pair of jeans and a black V-Neck polo which was revealing part of his chest and that made me hard.

"f**k" what the hell is wrong with me?

I've never felt this way towards anyone before and I was never interested in anyone. Which made me wonder who the hell this guy is and why I am feeling this way.

His scent filled my nose and it felt as if I couldn't smell anything/anyone but just him and once again I felt my d**k harden. s**t!

I felt a sudden urge to go to him and kiss him.

"What the hell is happening?". I asked Valir my wolf because I could feel his excitement also.

"Mate". He shouted.

I was stunned by his reply.

"That's impossible". I said.

"He's our mate, moron. We've waited so long for him, and he's finally here, so you better don't mess this up for me". He said.

Truth be told, I never thought I'd meet my mate although I kept waiting. I'm 22 years old already and I was told that as a wolf we'll know who our mate is when we turn 18. But when I turned 18, I didn't even smell not to talk of meeting my mate. My dad said it happens and that I should be patient, that in due time I'll meet him/her. So I waited until I turned 20 and still nothing happened. Then I gave up thinking he/she could be dead or haven't even been born yet or that the goddess had forgotten about me. Though I was disappointed, I didn't show it to my parents because I didn't want them to worry about me.

I never thought I'd see this day, a day I'm face to face with my name. I seriously can't explain how I'm feeling right now. I was jolted back to the present when Mike dragged me to our seat.

"Dude! What's up? You look like you've just seen a ghost". He asked.

"It's nothing". I said, but I was tempted to turn back and still look at the guy.

"Who's that guy? I've never seen him before". I asked Mike, glancing towards him, and I noticed his attention was on the book in front of him. And I got drowned in his appearance once again. It's as if my heart and my wolf are about to jump out of me. I need to calm down before I do something I'll regret.

"I don't know, he must be new, I guess". Mike replied.

"Hmmmm". I said.

"But why did you ask?". He asked.

"Nothing, just wondering cause this is my first time seeing him". I replied, trying my possible best to remain calm, which was to no avail.

"Hmmmm.. OK". He said.

I turned back to look at him again and our eyes met, but once again he averted my eyes. I can't help but wonder if he feels what I'm feeling. I'm trying everything possible to keep my wolf from taking over me cause I can't say what he'll do. I was so engrossed in him that I didn't realize it when our lecturer walked into the classroom until I heard him say

"Good morning class". Mr. Elton our History Lecturer said.

"Good morning sir ". We responded and I looked away from him.

"We have a new transferred student in our midst, would you please introduce yourself ". He pointed to the guy I'd been looking at (My Mate).

"I'm Jane Wilson". He said, and the whole class couldn't stop admiring him.

I could see the girls and even some guys staring at him chuckling and smiling at him, but he ignored them, but I still felt like plucking out their eyes for trying to flirt with my mate. But I found myself constantly turning back looking at him while his attention was on the lecture. Our class came to an end and, truth be told, I can't remember what was said during the lecture because my attention wasn't there.

" Hey, what's up with you?". Mike asked me.

" Nothing, what do you mean?". I replied.

"You barely paid attention to the lecture, it's like you've got something bothering you". he said.

"I'm cool". I said .

"Sure?". He asked with a worried look.

" Yes, it's nothing serious ". I said.

" OK if you say so, but if there's anything you know, you can always talk to me, right?". He said.

"Yes buddy, thanks, but it's really nothing". I said, and he nodded.

" What's your next lecture". He asked.

"Chemistry" I replied.

"I guess we'll see later because I'm having Literature". He said as he packed his books into his bag and stood up to leave.

"Okay, later then" I said while I was still seated, he left the class. I turned around to look in Jane's direction and he was still seated in his seat, but he was now listening to music with his eyes closed with his earphones plugged to his ear. I can't help but take in his appearance once again. I lost track of how long I was just sitting looking at him. It was as if he sensed me looking at him because he suddenly opened his eyes and our eyes met, but this time he didn't look away. Rather, he also stared at me and I could feel my face turn red from the blush.

His blue eyes were so endearing that I had to look away because I felt as if I was going to collapse because of his beauty.

Without saying anything, he stood up, picked up his things and left the classroom. I felt myself releasing the breath I never knew I was holding.

"f**k!".

I don't feel like going to class anymore and I remained seated while gathering and composing my thoughts together.

Mike

I looked at the guy Damion keeps glancing at and I must admit he's quite handsome. This is the first time I've seen him myself. I can't help but wonder why my friend/alpha keeps staring at him. I've never seen him look at someone like this before.

I've known him for literally my whole life and not once have I ever seen him pick interest in someone either male or female.

He also has never dated anyone, even when I tried to hook him up with someone, but he said he's keeping himself for his mate, which I found ridiculous.

Even though alphas have a mate that the goddess has destined for them, it doesn't mean they can't have fun while waiting to meet their mate. Even though I found his decision awkward, as his friend/beta, I have to respect and support him. And I've always wished that he meets his mate and falls in love and that his mate is worthy of him. Because Damion is a handsome, intelligent, responsible and cool guy, and he needs someone who will help him and lead the pack with him one day. And I have no doubt that he's gonna be the best alpha the pack will ever have after his dad, the current alpha/leader of the pack. Seeing him stare at someone and not concentrate in class was surprising. He's someone who doesn't joke about his studies, he never misses a lecture unless he's sick.

After leaving him in the class, I headed to my second class for the day and I couldn't help but wonder who Jane Wilson was and how he could affect Damion like that.
