Chapter 12

Damion's Point Of View

I watched as he entered the bathroom and shut the door behind him. I looked down at my still hard erection as I tried to calm myself down. I was so yearning for him but I knew that I had to wait for a little while longer because I wanted, for the first time, to be special to him. I want him to know how special and important he is to me and that I'm always going to be there for him.

I went into my closet to change into another pair of clothes before heading downstairs. When I entered the living room, I saw that Mike was already there waiting for me.

"Hey". He said when he saw me.

"Hi". I replied.

"What's up with you lately? You haven't been to campus but you kept saying everything is okay". He asked and I could detect the worries in his voice.

"Actually I have something to tell you". I informed him and I could see the curiosity setting in.

"What is it? tell me I'm all ears". He said

"First, I've found my mate". I said to him.

"Woooow, this is the best news ever. Congratulations, I'm so happy for you". He said as he came over and hugged me.

"Thanks bro, I'm so happy too. I've waited for so long for this day and I couldn't believe it's finally here". I said to him as we both sat back down.

" This calls for a celebration. But wait, that still doesn't explain why you weren't in school". He said.

"Yeah, the thing is, he had his heat on the day we met so I took him home with me and took care of him since I didn't want to leave him alone as that would be dangerous for him and also it was his first time experiencing heat". I explained to him and I could see the shock registered on his face.

"Wait a minute, come to think of it, is your mate that new dude in our class? the one you kept staring at the other day because I haven't seen him in class again since then". He asked.

"Yes, he's the one. I knew it immediately I saw him that day". I told him.

"That's so cool dude. Where is he now? I can't wait to see him". He said gigglely.

"He's upstairs in my room but he'll soon join us. Come on, let's go to the kitchen. I need to prepare some food for him before he comes down". I said to him as I stood up and headed toward the kitchen while he followed behind me.

"Okay, but why don't you tell the maids to do that". He said

"No, I want to take care of him myself and I also don't want him to feel uncomfortable". I informed him and I saw a smile on his face that I couldn't understand.

" OK, so tell me what exactly is bothering when you've just found your mate. You are supposed to be happy". He inquire

"What makes you think I'm bothered?". I asked him.

"Damion, we've been friends for almost forever and don't forget that I'm also your beta and I know when my alpha is bothered about something". He said, and that's Mike for you. He knows and understands me so well.

"Okay, the thing is, he isn't an ordinary Omega". I told him and I saw that he didn't understand what I had just said.

" What do you mean? I'm confused, please explain". He said.

"He's a gifted Omega, as in, he has special abilities unlike other Omegas and, because of his gifts, he's in danger and I need to protect him". I explained.

"What gift does he have? And who is he in danger from?". He asked

"He has the ability to foresee the future (Seer) and he also has the ability to heal (Healer). The gods must have bestowed him with those gifts for a reason. But because of his gifts, his pack alpha wants him to mate with his own son, the future alpha, because he doesn't want him to leave the pack if he eventually finds his mate". I explained and by now, Mike is already pacing around the kitchen with so much anger registered on his face.

"I'm gonna kill the bastard when I see him. How could he even think of doing such a thing". He said angrily, still pacing.

"I'll kill him before you do". I said while preparing the meal, we were going to eat.

"So what do you have in mind to do now? Because he needs to be protected in case they manage to locate him, he needs the protection of a pack. Have you spoken to your dad yet?". He said with a serious expression.

"Yeah that's what I want to talk to you about, and I've already discussed it with my father also. It's time we formed that pack I've been putting off". I said to him and that stopped his pacing.

"Good I've been waiting for this day and so are other weres. Everyone has been waiting for their alpha to give a go ahead". He said happily

" OK, the pack land is already available. All that's remaining is the building of the pack houses on it, marking of territory, and appointing individuals to their various tasks. And I'd like you to compile the list of weres we have now". I explained to him as I set the table.

" OK alpha, I'll get to work immediately". He said as he was still happy.

"I believe you have the plans for the buildings already and that doesn't need much of my attention because I know we have capable hands to handle that. And as for the funds needed, I'll give you one of my credit cards. It's limitless, so make use of it". I told him.

"Okay, I have already made arrangements for those that'll build the houses before now, we were just waiting for you and now that you've given the go ahead, work will commence immediately". He explained and I wasn't surprised by it because I know that he's capable of handling things and that's why I trust him to do a good job.

"Please don't mention any of this in front of Jane, because I don't want him to worry too much that I'm doing all this because of him or that he's causing me trouble, Okay?". I told him.

"I won't, but for the main time how is he gonna cope until the pack is ready". He asked.

"That's not a problem. I'm gonna persuade him to take his lectures online while I do the same, and I'll be handling work-related issues from home like I always do, and he's going to be staying here with me from now on, at least with that even if they found out where he is, they can't touch him". I said as a matter of fact because I don't want to take any chances of him being in danger while he's out there.

"That's good, nobody can touch him here. And I'll keep you updated on how things are going also". He said and we both turned when we heard footsteps approaching the kitchen and I knew it was him.

"Hey babe, meet my best friend and beta Mike". I said when he entered the kitchen and I went to him and pecked him on the lips.

"Hi Mike, I'm Jane, nice to meet you". He said as he stretched out his hand to Mike.

"Nice to meet you too, Jane". Mike said and shook his hand.

"Come and sit down and eat baby, I know you must be starving by now". I said as I led him to the table and pulled out a chair for him to sit before I sat down too, while Mike also sat down and we all started eating.
