Chapter11

Kyahs Pov

I woke up dreading the talk I was going to have with Ryan about my origins. I went into the closet to get dressed. I found an oversized black button-down shirt and a pair of boxers. I also found a sash that was used for a silk rob and used that to tie around the shirt making it look like a dress. I mean it was long enough that it was a little above my knee and covered the boxers completely. I looked in the mirror and confirmed that i looked good though the scar from my tracker was prominent i still looked fit. I went into the bathroom and found a comb to help tame my lions mane for hair. I got it straight and soft to touch it hung down my back and almost touched my butt. I snooped around the bathroom drawers and found a toothbrush still in its package and some toothpaste and got my teeth brushed. I finally looked human. Now to find Ryan.

I made my way back down to the first floor and found alot of food was put out in a buffet style. I got in line and put some eggs, sausage, and bacon on my plate. No breakfast was complete without bacon. I found a spot at the large dining table and sat down. After a few minutes the seat next to me was pulled out and a large man sat down. He had brown eyes, a thinning head of brown hair, and a goatee. A scar on his cheek stretched from the side of his lip to halfway up his cheek. He was handsome. "I don't think you and I have not properly met. I am Josh, the gamma of this pack. You are Ryan's mate, Kyah, right?" He asked me in a deep voice. It was calming to me.

"Uhh yes. I am. Do you know where Ryan is?" I asked him. I felt like I could trust Josh.

"He has been busy in his office all night and most of this morning. He has only stopped long enough to get some coffee and his obsession with sugar fix. You will understand what I mean when you get to know him better. All you'll have to do is watch him make his coffee and you will understand. Anyway, his office is on the second floor. After we are done eating, I can take you up to see him."

"What has he been doing this entire time in his office?"

"He has been catching up on paperwork from the last few days. It has been hectic this past week. s**t really hit the fan if you ask me. Though I have been doing the work of two people it doesn't compare to what Alphas have to do." He looked tired when i looked closer i could see bags under his eyes. I finished eating and stood up, took my plate to the kitchen, rinsed my plate, and put it in the dishwasher. When I turned around, women were looking at me with scared and confused faces. I didn't say anything i just walked out and met up with Josh who got up and left his plate on the table. "Aren't you going to take care of that?"

"Nah that is the Omegas job. They will come in and pick it up when they are ready." Well, that explains the reaction i got for taking care of my plate. "Follow me and I will take you to Ryan." He lead me back to the elevator and pressed the second floor. when the doors opened he turned left and went all the way down the hall. He didn't even bother knocking witch earned him a loud growl.

"Who the f**k just waltzes in here like they own the damned place. I should just tear your head......" He noticed i was there and he lightened up. "I am sorry thank you, Josh, for bringing her in here. Knock next time though." That was sexy. I looked at him sitting behind the large mahogany desk with a mountain of paperwork and a computer on it. He looked tired, his hair was disheveled, he was in the same clothes as yesterday, and it looked like he had a coffee stain on his shirt.

"You look like crap." I told him and his eyes went dark and a growl escaped from him. "Growl all you want but you are not getting out of this mister. Get upstairs take a shower, get freshened up or i am not giving you a thing from my past. Do you understand me?"

"Is that how this is going to be? You are going to talk to me like that for the rest of our lives, Mate?"

"I will if you are not taking care of yourself. You can not take care of others if you are not taking care of yourself! Get upstairs get your hygiene done then we will talk." I had to get my point across.

"You should listen to her man. Her expertise is sound." Josh backed me.

"Thank you." I told him.

Ryan got up and walked toward me. "Ok you win i will go take a shower, get fresh clothes on, and do my hygiene but that is it."

"That is all I am asking for." I told him. I put my arms around his neck and kissed his stubble cheek.

"Yall are making me sick with all the cuteness going on. Just get a room. Oh wait you have one. Go to y'alls room for that stuff please." Josh told us with a giant smirk on his face.

" Who are you to give your Alpha and Luna commands Mr. Gamma?" Ryan rebutted. His face was all jokes.

He walked out of the office with us following him. Ryan and Josh were talking about pack stuff i didn't understand. When we got to the elevator Ryan took my hand and pulled me closer to him. As we got out Josh said, " You know, I am about to head to warrior training if you want to join me. Its better than waiting for Ryan to get done with his stuff, and you might get a feel for some of what we do as a pack." I was excited to hear about this and looked to Ryan who just nodded like he was approving my going with Josh.

"You take care of her and don't let her hurt anyone too bad." With that being said we left Ryan at our door and Josh and I went to the training grounds. This was going to be fun. I was ready to get a good workout in.
