Chapter8

Alphas POV

We fought side by side in the battle with the humans. She was a soldier, no she was a glorious battle goddess who thrived on violence. She moved with grace and instinct. I never saw a warrior move as well as her. Wolfsong was amazing. It was like she was dancing with the blades and when she was cornered with three soldiers on her, she didn't hesitate and moved so fast it was without thought. I took down her third soldier and by the end of the battle all i earned was a "thank you wolfie." What was with this lady calling me Wolfie. I wasn't the only one to hear her call me that. Half the pack warriors heard her say it before she passed out.

"Doctor we are on the way to the hospital your patient passed out again and the battle is over."

"We will be waiting for her." was all i got back. I shifted forms back to human and scooped her up running with her back to the pack hospital. When we arrived they had a gurney ready for her and i stepped back after placing her on it. They took her to an emergency room and i followed. Orion was anxious and so was i to leave our mate with someone else. They cut her clothes off and i could see every defined muscle on her body. then i noticed the scars, scrapes, bruises, and the injuries sustained from battle. Her leg was the worst it was wrapped in what looked like a sheet. After they cut it off it gushed blood. How did she move with an injury like that, any grown man would have been bed ridden with that leg.

"Our mate is strong."Orion said with adoration.

"How did she get out of the hospital room?" I asked Doctor Williams.

"I did it, we had soldiers in the hospital one was even in her room. After i cut out her tracker, i undid her restraints. She promised that she would save our pack. Looking at the c*****e i would say she kept her promise." He said without blinking an eye as he sewed the wound on her leg.

"I had ordered the nurse to not undo the restraints. I understand you were in a bind and i am glad she saved you all when i couldnt. But i want you all to understand one thing about this woman that you are operating on right now. She is my mate and your Luna we need her to stay in order for the pack to grow stronger." That made everyone in the room stop and stare at me. It took them a minute to start working on her again. I guess i should have saved that bomb for later but at least it was out now.

"I wonder what she has been through to move like she did. It was like she changed into a different person when she started moving. It was like she was a hunter. She knew who was an enemy and who was safe within a second of seeing them. I couldn't even react in the time she did. It was scary. She even snapped me out of stupor when i wasn't able to think after seeing her dispatch an enemy." Doctor Williams had stated. If she scared him that is saying something. Who is our mate really? I need answers.

"Our mate is really something isn't she." Orion was smitten already. I couldn't blame him. I was too. I cant wait to explain our world to her. At that moment a green light sparkled from her core and ran to her leg, it was healing her. I watched as her skin stitched itself together leaving behind a scar. The light went to the rest of her body healing her bruises and scrapes. There was a graze on her shoulder that healed as well leaving a barely noticeable scar. Then the light grew brighter almost blindingly bright and vanished with a blink.

"What the hell was that? We don't heal like that was that witches magic?"
