As Billy stirred, Hank was hit by a terrifying reality, that there was a surviving witness to his murder of Jack Slocum. Hank picked up the gun and pointed it at Billy as Jack Slocum’s young protector slowly stood up, trying to clear his head. As he did so, he groaned a few times when he experienced pains from parts of his body that had gotten especially hard hit by his old buddy’s massive torso. Each pain, however, also seemed to help clear his mind, so that when he was finally standing upright, his eyes immediately started darting around the room looking for Jack. When he finally spotted the motionless body on the rug with the small pool of blood, he simply uttered, "Oh, holy s**t!"
