BREAKING POINT ~MATHIAS POV~ The mood in the Packhouse war room was stuffy enough to choke on. It was a poison cloud of fear, exhaustion, and the bitter smell of defeat. For three hours, we had been going around in circles. Senior warriors, pack elders, and what was left of our leadership were gathered around a huge wooden table, but no one was leading. We were just... existing and waiting for the next blow to fall. Everyone looked like they hadn't slept in a week. Everyone looked scared. I stood at the head of the table, leaning on it more than I wanted to admit. Maps showing our territory — our shrinking territory — were spread out under my hands.
