SECOND WAVE - MARCUS APPEARS
~DAXON'S POV~
The eastern front was hell, the Hunters had better weapons than we'd expected, not just silver bullets and wolfsbane. They had some kind of electrical nets that shocked any wolf who touched them.
We'd lost five warriors in the first five minutes. More were wounded.
I shifted to human form long enough to bark orders. "Stay low! Don't charge the nets! Circle around and attack from the sides!"
The warriors obeyed, changing tactics. It helped. We started taking down Hunters instead of just dying to their weapons.
Jamie appeared beside me, firing a gun he must have taken from a dead Hunter. "Your friend's got guts," I told him through the Pack link as I shifted back to wolf.
"He's insane," one of the warriors corrected. "But useful."
