Later that day, an emergency council meeting was called, and the Council chamber was packed due to Heriberto. Every major Alpha from the allied Packs had arrived for the emergency summit. Dozens of witches filled the viewing stands. Even some Hunter representatives were present, including Gregory's replacement on the Council.
I sat at the front table between Mathias and Daxon, trying not to show how nervous I felt. This was their world, and their politics. I was still learning how to blend in with it.
Marcus Sr. opened the session by presenting the problem. "We have Heriberto contained for now. But our options are limited. Execution, permanent imprisonment, or exile. Each has significant drawbacks."
