Back in Town They did not throw away my belongings at the Tea Cup inn. Not because they hoped for my return or wanted my presence, but out of basic human decency combined with indecision. I left expensive clothes, fashionable hats, the valuable stuff of a noblewoman. Things you don’t just throw away. They could have sold it, but that would have bordered on stealing. Most people I know would have no problem with that, but the lavender-scented prissy owner of the Teacup Inn is a decent human being.
