Danger.... danger... who loves danger?
Danger hurts us, and did you notice that sometimes danger bring us closer? Danger sometimes comfort us the way that material thing can't do.
The last time I was in great danger was when I waa practicing a bike. I was five that time, and my sister was seven. I sneak, and steal the bicycle of my sister. Mommy and Daddy didn't know because they were busy guiding my sister on her assignment.
So, without any thoughts. I ride that bike. It's not scary though because I was just in our compound, and there's a small wheel behind the big wheel... there's a training wheel that support me from not falling.
It was a smooth ride but I didn't have much strength, and force when the bike run so fast at it own. I couldn't do, and just scream out of my lungs.
I fell down, and I heard my mother shout in fear.
I wasn't wearing any protective gears. I watch my mom, dad and my sister hysterical and worried face. They run fast, and hug me tight.
It was my first danger, and also the first warmth I feel towards them.
In the most dangerous situation…in the deadliest fight, the one who loves you the most will be the one who will come and rescue you.
Danger for me... it's something remarkable.
Sometimes as we get older, things change and so does our perspective. Sometimes it's best to keep your feelings to yourself than to shout them out because if they actually loved and cared about you, they would notice... they would know.
Yesterday, I had a nightmare—a really awful one. I don't know what happened, but my hands were bound together by a rope when I was on the rooftop, where it was so blurry around me but I could hear voices around.
I was wearing a gown... a black gown. I saw my parents holding my hand, and behind me, a man... in a maskara was waiting for me.
I don't remember what happened after that since I abruptly woke up. I wanted to go back to sleep to finish the dream, but I regret to sleep again because the scenario changed and I was being hunted by darkness. The darkness was behind me, and it was running to haunt me while I wws running, and there's a lot of rooms and I tried to knock but they're did not open it.
I woke up, catching my breath. Lately, everything is weird especially my dream. And lesson learnd, I should not sleep.
Even living and sleeping doesn’t make a sense at all.
My attention darted to the calendar, and my thoughts wandered. Next month, in August 15, would be my fifteenth birthday.
My heart feel glad but somehow the thoughts that running towards my head ruin it. I should not expect things the way my heart wants because mostly everything that will turn out, will just break my heart.
Year 2018. Be good to me. Don’t hurt me more.
Today, is the last week of Saturday of July. It’s Saturday, and I have nothing to do than stuck here in the house.
My sister, Savanah will have her ballet thing, and even her busy schedule she still manage to attend it every session. I'm so amaze how she pulled all those activities even she's busy on her studies, and work with under with our family. One thing, I envy about was her name.
Her names is Savanah Felice Arquera. That named was plan for a long time already, and it's understandable because she was there eldest daughter, and for sure they took a long time to think ane prepare that names.
While mine.. they just named me Lemon, just Lemon. The nurse need my name, and without second thoughts or minutes of thinking mom named me Lemon out of nowhere.
I mean Lemon is a cute, and weird name but nothing compares to a name that was planned through lovingly and genuinely.
Anyways, I loved my name, so it's fine at all.
I pulled my hair up, and rolled ot above my head. Today is a bright sunny day, and this is a wonderful day to wander in the mall.
I went out the room, and as usual the atmosphere was so quite. It must be good to see children running around every corner.
The table was so lonely, and I walk towards there. I'm going to eat my breakfast, and vanish after.
My eyes met Ris, one of our helper,
"Ma'am!" She yelled so shockingly. "Why you didn't say that you're already here. Are you hungry? What do you want to eat for today's video." She said weirdly which made me chuckled.
"I'll eat whatever in the table... ofcourse it's edible. I won't eat platemats, right?" I said lightly which made her chuckled.
Mommy and Savanah are not here, and I’m sure that they already left early. Savanah is two years older than me. We are not really close, but in I think we know that even those unsaid words and eerie sound between us, we know how much we love each other. We just don’t need to say it aloud.
“Ma’am…” Ris murmured. I turned my head at her after she place the food infront of me. "Ma'am Sabel said that you are not allowed to leave the house." She says, "She will come back here after an hour. She just... accompany Miss Savanah... somewhere... " She uttered, carefully like not wanting me to taste it bad.
"Okay." I. replied shortly. I think they know the differences, but maybe they were more attentive to my feelings more than anyone, and that's I'm very grateful to our dearest worker.
And, they also know I'm so hard headed to follow.
"She will come back, and take you to singing lesson.” Ris added. My brows frown while staring at her.
"She said I should not say that to you but... I know you don't like that idea so... I spilled some tea." She said, and lighten my aura.
"Okay..." I murmured. "It's our secret only. " I winked at her.
Mom really crazy. Filling out and filling in forms of different extra-curricular activities or sports for us to attend or join. I think she should be the one to do it since she was the only one who wants it, and who who pays for it.
I’m sure that Mom ordered the body guard to guard me, strictly. She already knew things like this, and still she doesn’t get tired doing of this kind of thing. I’m glad that she never force me to date a guy who she likes or else I’m gonna leave the house, for real.
Like as usual and for countless times, I successful escaped my body guard.
I went quickly to Vanessa house.
Vanessa and I somewhat shared the same fate in life. She’s not the favorite daughter but she row up kind, obedient and a good kid. She accepted things, and contented about it. She said, that she can’t force things but she know that her parents love her as well. Her parents love her older brother much but despite it, brother Jaoquin, her bother, loves her more than her parents.
I found Vanessa, laying in the bed while scrolling on her phone. She's not even startled that I showed up infront of her.
"I'm going downstairs to get some food. I'm hungry." She said, as her hair was flying messingly.
Few minutes passed, and the door opened, and Vanessa was holding a cake.
I'm in the sofa while waiting for her. I just realize that we are both still in our pajama. I haven't brush my teeth either. I rush to come here before Mom would arrive.
"Who baked that?" I asked. She shrugged her shoulder, and place the cake in the table.
"This cake sounds tasty. I've heard this kinda sold out." Vanessa said, and sit on the floor. I followed her.
“I haven't had my bath. " I whispered while staring to the plain cake. It wasn't plain, but there's one big heart beside, and nothing more. The design is very upright, and classy.
Vanessa offer me the spoon, and we smirking while taking the first bite.
“This is yummy, where did you buy it?” I asked after I tasted the first bite. It was so soft, and tasty.
I watched her, and she raise her brows.
Vanessa’s wavy hair complimented her beauty. Her long pointed nose, and her moles make her more stunning. I can say that those people who will talk to her surely would stop just to stare her face.
My eyebrow furrowed when pick something in the floor. She waved the small paper infront of me.
"What's that? "
"This cake is for my brother's crush." She said that made me spit the small piece that I ate in her face.
"He will give it today or dunno, when."
“Damn, Vanessa.”
I cursed at her. I sighed, and looked at her. Did she know that what she did was wrong?
"Damn," I cursed under my breath.
Vanessa chuckled while wiping the dirt on her face. “Don’t worry. He’s fine with everything that I can do. He can buy one later--"
Our eyes turn wider as we heard Joaquin's calm voice calling her name.
“Van…Vanessa, baby…”
" Damn, you, Vanessa Cruzilda..." I cursed so bad.
We heard a door knocks. Vanessa chuckled while continue eating. I looked at her, grimly.
She take another bite.
"Damn you."I mouthed her, badly." Your brother might kill us--" My eyes widened when she place the spoon to my mouth! to my mouth!
"I'll open the door." Her bother says. I quickly wiped something around my lips.
“Van, baby girl... did you take the cake--"He stopped, and stare to us. He chuckled while staring us, and the cake we just took.
“I can’t take it back right?? He said, jokingly, and we slowly moved our heads. “Go on. Go ahead, enjoy the dessert young ladies.” He said, and closed the door.
I finally let out to breath.
"I thought he would be mad, " I said to Vanessa. "He got all the patience, huh” I said amusingly.
Vanessa just smiled sheepishly.
"That cake was already there two days ago. He was building more courage to give it." Vanessa uttered. "He couldn't breath every time he was staring to that cake. I just want him to give him a break."
I watched her smile, sadly.
I realized that there’s two type of love of a sibling, the silent one and the loudest one.
My sister and I, werethe silent one. We don’t talk a lot, we don’t have a conversation that lasted long, we don’t usually go together but we know that we love each other. She bought sweet foods, and place it to the fridge, and I happily ate it. She will buy things that I don’t like but she think it suits to me, then I slowly get addicted to it. I know that I’m very welcome at her room with an open arms but we just kind of lost of words to say it aloud.
Vanessa and her brother are the type of a loudest love. I can see clearly how his brother showed how much he love her sister, through words, and actions and everything. He make sure that Vanessa will hear all the words that she needed, warm and gentle words.
It was a loudest love showed physically hugs, kisses on the forehead, buy this or those, and always be the number one companion.
Despite those kind of love, we know that the love of the sibling is the best and assuring love. We know that they will not hurt us. It just me and my sister kind lost in the way because of my heart that let the pain and bitterness consumed me.
The sibling love is the love that never needs a reason. It's kind of love where despite the war, or distance, the love will never just subside or vanish. The love of a sibling is a love that never last, even the people who loved you will leave you, your siblings won't.
The wall can be taller than a titan wall or a rock can be strong and cannot be break but the love of a sibling soften the metal.
The love of a sibling stays forever, and always remain in our heart, and mind till we died.
