Chapter Three

2037 Words
The planned two days ago, failed. After, we ate the food, took a bath together, and went to the mall, Mom was waiting to us in our favorite salon. Vanessa, and I hold each other's hand to run but Mom turned to us, and raise her hands to call us. The plan failed. So, far that's what happened to my weekends. Mom caught me on Saturday, and Sunday, I made an effort to join the dancing class, but didn't know that I was only sleeping. Monday came, and we haven't enter the campus or even take a bath, but we already feel tired and exhausted for the whole weekend. It's tiring because school only turns fun after exam, no projects, and assignments, and unless it's foundation day or intramural day. No academic stress at all, but since intramurals is far from forever, waking up and getting ready for school is a bit challenging. Thinking about the lectures, lecturer, projects and assignment making me dizzier. I stared myself to the mirror. I love my short black hair. Other says that I look like a Cinderella, short hair, and with my fine white body color that compliment well with my red lips, and my black eyes, and fined eye shadow. My sister is the pretty’s woman I ever seen. Mom and Dad both came in a rich lineage, and even now, my sister is building her own empire. I’m just glad that she born first or else I’m gonna dehydrate myself to death. I haven't entered the dining room but I heard a familiar voice that occupied the atmosphere. “She likes blue…” Mom says. I love blue. Was that for me? Or perhaps, are they preparing for my birthday? I quickly walk to go to them, but the pace turns slower as I see my sister, smiling simply with the organizer. I stopped while mom was looking to a folder. These are the teams who always organized in our party, whatever type of party or occasion it is. “Even though Savanah doesn’t like it to be extravagant, but her dad and I can’t just let it simple." Mom, says." We want something grand, okay?” I thought... it was for me. My feet that was walking forward taking it back, four steps behind. I'm glad that I'm already wearing my uniform, I can just leave easily. I went back to my room to get my bag. I tried to erase the pain, and stopped in the mirror. It’s early to go to the school but I have no choice. I can’t go anywhere since most of the mall will open exactly eight or nine. I put red lipstick around my lips, and let my smile turns wider. I’m used to this but why can’t the pain still the same as if my heart never been hurts. I already get my allowance a month in advance, so I have nothing to converse with the people in the living room, but I have to walk pass to them to go to the kitchen. I’ll just bring sandwich, and eat there in the school. I acted like I didn’t see them but I know they are watching. It's hard not to see me. unless I'm going to vanish or disappear. “My daughter will bring her finalize them once she finalize everything.” Mom says. “Sure, no problem Madam. You can contact us anytime” Savanah’s birthday will be the next two months while my birthday will be next, next week. The little difference showed already the gaps. “Aren’t you going to eat?” I heard my mom softly said. The kitchen is just another side, so I can clearly hear them and clearly hear mom. “The teacher wants me in school early, so I’ll eat there.” I said, calm. My eyes stopped when I see another box in the fridge. “Bring that lunch box…I cooked that.” I heard my sister said. “Okay.” I whispered while I put the box inside my bag. “I want to see the invitation, first. "Mom, said energetically. "I want to see it perfectly okay? I don’t want others to say something to Savanah." "What about you, Lemon? Your birthday is coming weary than your sister." Mom said, as I walk pass to them. I stop to stare at them with a smile. My sister was looking at me intently, for sure she knows what I feel because we are sibling. One thing that know me, is her because we are sister, we are connected. "I don't know. Anything would do." I said, simply. Mom nodded, and she turned her attention to the organizer. "And, my youngest daughter, Lemon, her birthday is coming as well but we will just have a simple dinner.” Mom says. “I’ll go now.” I said, respectively. I saw Savanah watching me but I just smile at her, and left the house. The car is already ready, and the other body guard are in the other car. My body guards are very strong, tough and strict but I don’t know why I can just escape them easily or maybe they are just acting crazy or they stop chasing me because they know how hardheaded I am. “Welcome to University of Laurente Dumas Institute.” This is the school where I met my soul mate, my bestfriend, Vanesa. The school where I met my. bestfriend. My hand clicked the message button. I’m sure that she will wake up late but still I texted her. “I’m already in the school. Wake up, pretty lazy curly hair.” I closed it, and leaned my head. Everything was harder to the younger children. The cat stopped, and as usual the guards are outside the campus, waiting for me. If you’re confuse how did Vanessa brought my body guard a month ago, she run and went out the campus to call the attention of my body guard. University of Laurente Dumas School are only for students who can pay the school more than hundred thousand per year. I mean others are welcome but we really pay the tuition fee highly, but there are free tuition unless you can access the scholarship and if you’re smart cuz there are grade that needed to maintain, highly. And, it’s common from others to have body guard tailing behind but there are also restriction, they are not allowed to disturb in during class hours. My eyes swiftly darted to one person eating. The canteen is big but since it’s so early, and no one is here, nah, someone is here. The nerd is here. I know him well behind his back. No one wants to sit beside him, especially that there are some gang who hates him. I don’t know but I just overheard that news from the other students. I headed to him. My heels were creating noise but he didn’t even look back to. check who it was. What if I'm his enemy? For sure he would be dead right now not attentively enough to check around. I saw the canteen lady darted her eyes towards me but she continue her thing. I stopped, and seat opposite to him which I can see him clearly. His face expression doesn’t change at all. I put my things in the table, and left it while going to the counter to buy a pineapple juice. I went back while holding my juice. He continued eating without looking at me. “You went here early.” I said to start the conversation. There are some boys who approached him, and Vanessa said those boys who approached him are his people. Mostly his people are in the other universities. He did not reply, and guess, he doesn’t want to talk to me. Anyway, he doesn’t want to talk to anyone, so it doesn’t hurt my ego at all. “I want to join your team. What’s the entrance?” I said in a cool tone, that made him stared at me, for the first time after a long time. “We don’t accept a girl.” He said strictly, and I looked at him, frowning. “Then, why Barbie Lim is part of the group?” I said that made him stopped. “Where did you get that kind of fake news?” He asked, coldly. I smiled sweetly to him. “You know, the students here.” I said, and continue eating. “Barbie was there in the meeting because she’s the girlfriend of one of my people.” He said, and put all his spoon and fork to his lunchbox. "We don't really allow girls." “So, do you want to date with me?” I asked that made him stopped. "Huh?" “I mean, girls are not allowed but girlfriends can do…do you want to date me?” I said, calmly. He chuckled insultingly. “Girlfriends can’t still enter the frat. Brix just bring her once.” “That’s not the answer that I want to her.” I utter, and he stood up looking at me more coldly. “My question was do you want to date me?” I said in a very serious tone. He chuckled like an insult. “You’re just bored because your boyfriend isn't here.” He said seriously, and left me speechless. That nerd. His face doesn't even change. It looks so gloomy, and cold, left me here. I continued eating. "Lemon." Someone called my name. I look up, and saw the basketball players. "First time to see you not with your dog ." King said, and that made his friends laugh. I rolled my eyes. "You'll be dead if Mitch hears that." I said to him, boredly. The boys chuckled. "I'll order our food." Seve said, and the three boys followed, leaving me and King alone. "Since Mitch left, the school sound so peaceful." King says. "What do you mean peaceful? Like this? Where you can talk to me and go near to me? I asked him, and chuckled. "You're so brilliant, Lems." He complimented. "But not academically." I whispered that made us laugh. "It's my first time to see you here early." King said. He moved as the boys went back, and seat beside King. "I woke up early, and decided to go here." I uttered. They were wearing jersey. "Practice?" I asked them. They nodded. "We have training." Seve said, and I nodded. I finish eating my phone. I saw them stare at me but start eating. I pick up my juice, and stare at them. "Winnie will hold a party. Aren't you going tonight?" Jacob asked. "Everyone will be there?" I asked, and sipped my juice. My eyes moved behind them when I saw the nerd, walking here. "Those who were invited. You were invited and your bestfriend. You should come..." Ramon said, but it slipped through my ears when the nerd stopped behind them. "You came back." I said, and the eyebrow frown. "Huh?" They said, together. I pointed behind them. They slowly turn their head, and saw the nerd. I heard someone cough but I was busy staring to the nerd. "I lost my wallet." He said, and his eyes went to our table. Ramon eyes turned grim. "Did you accuse us--" "I said, I lost my. wallet. I didn't say you stole my wallet." Dario cut him off. He bend down and pick something. He was holding his wallet. He didn't even notice that it feel awhile ago. His eyes roamed around with this guy's and it stopped infront of me, my food. He turn his back to us. " What the f**k?" "Did he sit her before us?" I didn't care what they are talking about. I was putting the lunch box and water to my bag. "Guys, bye. I'm going now. I don't think I can go to the party as well." I said in rush, and quickly left them. "Dario! Wait!" I yelled as I saw the nerd walking, without looking back. "Dan Rio!" I screamed, and run, chasing him. I just chase the boy with no expression.
