Tothlar, Nynthlay and I had been floating around Canada for close to 500 years now. We have been here in Toronto for 25 years now. No one thought to look for us here after everything had happened with my bastard of a father. I am not sure how they found out that it was him that had been executed instead of me, but they had. I am positive someone saw what I had done and told the others, but I am not sure who that could have been. I had tried to force the dark elf kingdom to set up an arranged marriage between Frejya and myself, but she had found her fated mate and it was f*****g Khattar none the less. I had heard that Frejya had become pregnant and that she had given birth to a princess, but I had yet to see the little princess. There were rumors floating around that she was already extremely powerful. I was not sure how much I believe that, but she was special, so it was a possibility. I was expecting an old friend. She should be here soon. There was a knock on my office door making the three of us look up. Melody walked in with a smile on her face. “Sorry I am late, but I had a little bit of an issue leaving the kingdom.” Melody drawled. “I hope the issue was not serious. They haven’t figured out that you have been leaving to come here. Who watches those two kids of yours while you are here?” I commented. “I have a nanny to take care of those two worthless brats. No, they are suspicious of where I go when I leave the kingdom, but I have ways of slipping away from the damn kingdom.” she replied. None of us said anything. Melody had found her fated mate, but she rejected him after getting pregnant twice. She tried to pass Kolter and Tanaiy off as Khattar’s, but he did not believe nor did the rest of the kingdom. I will admit that they might have resembled Khattar when they were younger but now, they do not. Besides both kids having his dark hair (without the blue hue) they do not look like him. To be honest Melody was a terrible f*****g mother but that was not my concern. I needed information on the little princess, and I knew she would have it. She was no longer welcome in the main house, but she was still part of the court. I told her not to be stupid, but she did not listen and then came crying to me after it happened. She is lucky that she did not get executed. “I would like to know everything about the little princess.” I told her. “That little s**t, is a f*****g abomination. The whole f*****g kingdom is in love with her and newest f*****g abomination. Our w***e of a Queen had another little girl almost two years ago. Khattar is over the moon with those little bastards but refuses to acknowledge Kolter as his son and heir.” Melody hissed. “I am not interested in the newest princess, but I have been hearing rumors of the older one. I want to know if they are true.” I commented. “They are. The little bastard was born with immense power. No one has an explanation for this. Her fourth birthday is in a week.” she told me. “I want to attend that party. I want to see this girl. If any of what you just told me is true, then I want her.” I added. “I can get you in but getting her might take some time. Khattar had assigned several guards to protect both of those little shits. Frejya has more guards with her right now as well. Before you ask, I am not sure what is going on. There is something going on, but they only talk about it behind his office doors. I am only allowed in the main house when there is some sort of special occasion.” Melody explained. I knew why she was not allowed in the main house any longer. She had attacked Frejya many years ago and had been imprisoned for a while. She was, after a few years, granted access to the main house once again until she challenged Frejya. Melody had lost the fight. She almost lost her life. Frejya let her live because of her kids but the rest of her family had disowned her. I think that had happened right before Frejya had found out she was pregnant again. The four of us sat there discussing how Melody was going to sneak me into the main house for this damn party. I wonder if the other little princess had been born with power like her sister had. I knew I was going to have to disguise myself to get into this party considering I was supposed to be dead. I knew I would have to be careful using magic or power while there. Melody confirmed that Kings Odin and Phillip would be there, but since the princess was their granddaughter that was not a surprise. “I can get a potion from a fey I know that will disguise you and not raise suspicion since there will be several fey and elves there.” Melody remarks. “I like that idea. I will meet you somewhere when you have the potion, for us.” I told her. Melody kept up her end of our deal. I was standing just close enough to be able to see the little princess when Khattar and Frejya make their grand entrance. The place was packed. As expected, the previous and current dark fey and elf kings were present along with several high-ranking vampires. I noticed the Alpha from the Nightmare pack was there along with another alpha that I had not seen before. I was surprised to see the angel king and his ranks there as well. I about lost my s**t when I saw my cousin and current king of the demons there as well. I nodded when I saw Melody across the way from me. Tothlar and Nynthlay are here as well. We are spread out around the as not to draw attention to us. The large double doors to the ball room opened. Khattar and Frejya walked in. Frejya had a small girl with Khattar’s hair and her eyes in her arms. That was not who I was fixated on. In Khattar’s arms was the older girl. You could feel the power radiating off her small body. Her long hair was an even mixture of blue and white. The blue of her eyes matched her hair but faded to gold towards the center. Her warm ivory skin tone made her eyes stand out even more. “My queen and I want to thank everyone for coming to my daughter, Xayvry’s, fourth birthday.” Khattar announced. I followed the family with my eyes. I watched as several came up wishing Xayvry a happy birthday. I noticed one of the vampires on Khattar’s council was talking with Khattar about something and the conversation appeared to be getting heated. I stopped at the table nearest to them in hopes of hearing what was being discussed. “The answer is no, Dharthlan. I will not be arranging marriages for either of my girls. Unlike most of you I believe in the bond and fated mates. My girls will find their fated mates, or they can choose to take a chosen mate.” Khattar hissed. “Your majesty, this would be good for the kingdom.” an ancient vampire told him. “Pierre, Dharthlan, it will never happen. I will not speak of this again.” Khattar growled. He walked away from the two before they could say more. The one, Dharthlan, who I knew, slammed his glass onto the table before walking away. Pierre did not look any happier. I could care less. Xayvry would be mine one day. With her power I would be able to rule over all supernatural and humans. I texted Melody telling her we will be talking later before linking Tothlar and Nynthlay. We could not stay much longer. The potion that Melody was able to buy would be wearing off soon. The three of us made our exit without anyone noticing. Once we were a safe distance from the main house we teleported back to our place in Toronto. “Have you ever felt power like that from a single individual before?” Tothlar asked. “No, I have never heard of a single supernatural having power like that.” I answered. “I thought that fey or elves for that matter did not come into their full powers until they come of age.” Nynthlay commented. “Normally that is what happens. Clearly there is something special about Xayvry that no one understands.” I told them. The birthday party was a week ago. We had planned for Melody to meet us two days later, but something had happened within the kingdom, and she had been unable to leave. All I had received from her was a text which means whatever happened was bad enough that she did not want to risk calling. I had heard that the kingdom had been put on lock down because of what happened. We were sitting in a cafe waiting for Melody to show up. We had agreed to come to her this time. “You looked stressed.” Tothlar commented. “Shut up, things have been chaotic in the kingdom.” Melody hissed. “What happened? We heard the kingdom went on lock down.” I asked. “The Alpha Gordon of the Nightmare pack and his family stayed a few extra days after the birthday party. Their son, Kahil went looking for Kolter but took a wrong turn. He somehow ended up outside which would not have been that big of a deal, but a small group of rogue vampires were able to sneak in. They found the little alpha and chased him. The little s**t fell down a hill and was knocked unconscious. Before they could kill the little s**t, something or someone saved him. While they were searching for the little s**t Frejya went to check on Xayvry but found her bed empty. The whole kingdom was on lock down until the little abomination was found. Khattar went to back to her room. She was in bed but that is where things got weird.” Melody explained. “What do you mean?” Tothlar asked. “When Khattar found her in bed, she was asleep, but she was covered in mud and other debris. It was like she had been outside.” Melody added. “Sounds like she used her powers for something. As to why she would teleport outside is the mystery.” I commented. I wondered to myself if it had anything to do with the little alpha, but I doubt it. While I am sure they know who each other is I doubt he would want anything to do with a little girl. There was a six-year gap between them this I knew. “I want Xayvry.” I stated. “Okay, but right now is not the time.” Melody replied. “I know this. I want her once she is older. Somewhere around 12 or so. This gives you more than enough time to come up with a way to get her and bring her to me. I need not remind you what will happen if you fail.” I told her. “I will work on it. I want those abominations gone as much as you want her. All I ask is that you take the younger one as well. If they both disappear then Khattar must recognize Kolter as his son and heir.” Melody pointed out. While I do not want the younger one that does not mean that I would not be able to find someone to marry her off to. I bet Dharthlan would want her. It might not be the princess he wanted but at least it was one of the two. It would still be a way into the royal family. I do not trust Melody fully. She is a social climber, and I do not doubt for one minute that she would not double cross me. I guess time will tell.
