A heavy silence lingered for at least ten seconds. “All right,” Kaydie said at last. “I’ll get you to Leyria. We’ll try to find Jack and join his crusade.” Day 19 The cabin aboard Kaydie’s Justice Keeper shuttle wasn’t much bigger than the average living room, and that made for a very tight space when you had to share it with five other people for three days.
