Chapter 7

Alpha Francis’ P.O.V.

Kali fell asleep at her desk. I took the opportunity to grab her and put her onto my lap. My body reacted by giving me an erection. Freddy laughed then extended his arms for me to pass her to him. She looked so innocent as she slept.

“Tina and mom got her room ready for us.” I said as we rode in the car heading back to our pack lands. I kissed her cheek as her head laid on my lap.

It took us almost two hours to get to the pack from the city. After we get through the traffic jam, its smooth sailing from there. When we built up to the old Victorian style building of three levels, our mother was there to greet us. She was happy that we found our mate.

“She is as beautiful as the stories describe her.” My mother said smiling. I carried her in my arms.

“Where is dad?” I asked her.

“In Scotland. He had a meeting with the kings of both Ireland and Scotland.” She said as she followed us into the building.

“For what?” Freddy asked as he climbed the stairs to the second floor.

“He didn’t know. It was important though. So he took the first flight out there.” She said as she opened the door to Kali’s room. My mother decorated it with autumn colors to help her feel at home. She was raised in the woods of Washington state so I know she loves the woods.

We replaced her bed with a king size bed for all three of us to fit in. The covers where a dark orange and red combination. I laid her down on it and sat at the edge with Freddy.

“She hasn’t slept since we ran into her. You know how that is.” I said to our mom. She smiled at us because she knew all too well.

“I remember fighting your father for weeks. I couldn’t stand him. He was the popular guy and I was the nerdy girl. Since your dad’s birthday was two months before mine, he shifted first. His wolf was telling him I was his but he refused to listen because he thought his girlfriend Tonya was his mate.

But when she shifted a week later, they were not mated. When I shifted on my 16th birthday in May, my wolf went crazy. So I know that battle all too well. Eventually she will give in but you two have to give her a reason. Do not think it’s just going to happen because her heat will drive her into your arms.” She said.

“That means you need to learn patience Freddy.” I said to him. My mother looked at him.

“Exactly. If you want to keep having s*x with random women then you can kiss her good-bye. And she will reject you both. She can’t just reject one and accept the other.” My mother said as she walked out.

“Okay. I’m doing my best.” Freddy said.

Jessica’s P.O.V.



I woke up from my nap to find that Alpha Freddy was back. I take a shower and head downstairs to the dining room to find him there chatting it up with Kenny (their Beta) and best friend. I walked up to him and tried to kiss him but he moved away.

“We need to talk.” Alpha Freddy said to me as he pulled me by my arm to the side.

“About what? The fact that you forgot to tell me you met your precious mate?” I said to him.

“Yes and the divorce papers are ready for you to sign. Everything is in order. You have until the end of tomorrow to take all your things and move them. Where? That’s none of my business.” Alpha Freddy said to me coldly to me.

“Where am I going to live? How am I going to survive?” I asked him through my tears.

“I don’t know. But if you try to stay or delay our divorce, I will make you regret it.” Freddy said before walking away. I can’t believe he is dropping me like a bad habit. But I refuse to leave without any compensation.

When I got to Alpha Freddy’s office, his lawyer and high school friend Anthony were there fixing the paperwork. “Maybe I can seduce him and get him to change the divorce for me to get at least one of their apartments in New York City.” I said to myself.
