Chapter 1
Kali’s P.O.V.
I found myself walking down fifth avenue heading towards forty-second street. The nice cool breeze that was coming from Central park felt so good. I only had that stupid waste of time of a meeting to discuss the new changes to our game.
“You could of just did a f*****g Zoom call for all this s**t!!” I yelled at Tony; he was my supervisor even though I had been with the company longer. He knew better than to say anything. I didn’t mean to be a b***h but I wasn’t the only one thinking it. He was 5’8, skinny, light skin, shorty curly blonde hair with green eyes. He was handsome but I had no interest in him. He wasn’t my type and besides, humans are not worth the trouble. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had s*x with a few females but males were not my thing.
“Are you coming over?” Diana, my half wolf, and half Amazonian best friend text me. I met her and Inanna and Nyx when my aunt let me to do my witch training at the age of 5 with the Queen of the Witches, Lilith.
Lilith is 5’5, long green dreadlocks, with porcelain skin and strong. Nyx and Inanna were Lilith’s daughters with her mate Miguel. They were on their way to becoming the first female Alphas. They were both gorgeous, 5’9, one had green hair and the other had black hair, both had their father’s blue eyes, and their mother’s gorgeous hourglass body.
“Dude let me go home and chill for a bit. Then I will let you know.” I texted her. Two days ago, I was in California celebrating Spring Equinox with them at their pack lands. As always, the celebration was crazy and fun.
“You know you are fated to have two mates right?” Lilith said to me with a smile on her face. I waved her off and continued to drink my absinthe. She was known for making the best absinthe.
“I don’t need a mate; I’ve been surviving without one for too long.” I said to her.
“I had my fun too before I finally found Lilith.” Alpha Miguel said to me as he smiled. He was the Alpha of Silver Lakes pack and Lilith’s husband. He was also one of the oldest living alphas. The man is 265 years old and he looked like he was in his mid-40s. We are always calling him sugar papi since he looked like Lilith’s sugar daddy.
“I don’t need a mate. I’m happy with my women.” I said to them.
“How old are you now, 13 years old. It’s never too late to find your mate Kali.” Lilith said to me. She was right. Physically, the twins, Diana, and I look like we are 21 years old but age wise, we have only been on this planet for thirteen years.
I was caught up in my memory when the sweetest smell of coffee and cocoa hit me along with the scent of peppermint and lavender. I stopped in my tracks to let myself take a deep breath of the smell. It was like heaven opened up for me with the two smells.
“Excuse me miss, what is your name?” I heard and was awaken when I bumped into a really muscular chest. I looked to see two men standing in front of me, identical to the tee. They were both a dark caramel complexion, 6’7, with short straight blonde hair, one had a goatee and the other a moustache, with green eyes. I could see their muscles trying to rip through their suits. One was wearing a blue suit and the other a gray one.
“Ummm, what?” I said to them. They both flashed me a smile as they came closer. I took a step back to keep my distance. I looked around to see that a white Maybach was parked on the side of the street. They had a man driving them around.
“What is your name beautiful?” They asked again in unison.
“Oh my Goddess! MATES!” Lyla, my wolf howled in my head.
“The f**k not!” I screamed at her.
“Look I have to go.” I said to them before taking off. I could feel them running behind me as I ran through the park. I immediately opened a portal to my aunt’s home in Seattle. The portal appeared in front of my aunt’s house in the woods.
“Kali!” My aunt Theresa screamed from inside her home.
“Yes ma’am.” I said to her as I walked up the steps to her porch.
“Why do you smell like alphas?” Aunt Theresa screamed before opening the door. I towered over her since she was five feet exactly. She always kept her long black hair in two braids and pinned them up. She was 150 years old but she didn’t look any older than 25 years old. She was slim with big boobs. When people see us, they think we are sisters.
“I ran into these two wolves in Manhattan.” I said to her as I followed her into her home.
“Oh princess. You found your mates.” She said happily.
“No I did not. They found me and I reject them both.” I said to her.
“You have to say that to them sweetie.” Aunt Theresa said laughing walking back to the kitchen.
“Ugh! Why now? I was chillin’ mindin’ my business, titi.” I said to her.
“Your mother came to me in my dreams last night to let me know that you were finally going to get married.” She said. I sat down on her brown couch.
“I love my freedom titi.” I said to her.
“I know but things change all the time and you know that. Besides, it’s time that Golden wolf in North America to get married.” She said.
“Come on titi! Most of these wolf packs think I’m a myth anyway. I was enjoying my life.” I said pouting.
“Yes but you are not like any other Golden wolf. You are half witch and Lilith and I taught you magic. You are a one in a million.” Aunt Theresa said proudly.
Alpha Freddy’s P.O.V.
The most intoxicating smell of sunflowers hit my nostrils as we drove down fifth avenue. I told the driver to pull over and Francis followed me. As identical twins, we shared the same mate because we were one soul split in two bodies. Goddess, the most beautiful girl was standing in front of the park when I approached her.
She had olive complexion with long, red curly hair (it was dyed), 5’7, brown eyes, wide hips that were obvious through her jeans, big juicy breasts, and a nice plump ass. She was wearing blue jeans with a jean jacket that had different buttons on it from different movies and bands and a pair of white sneakers. Her smell was driving my wolf, Johnny, crazy.
“Mate!” Johnny howled.
“What is your name?” I asked her after she bumped into my chest. I felt a spark run through me. She really was our mate.
Before we knew it, she ran into the park. We ran behind her but she disappeared through a portal. I could feel my heart feel broken. At least she didn’t reject us. We walked back to the car and headed back to the office.
“Jessica is going to be upset.” I said to my brother Francis.
“Dad was right, we rushed into marrying women that we were not mated to.” Francis said as he tried to focus. Her smell was still fresh in our mind.
Five years ago, I married my high school sweet heart Jessica even though I didn’t love her. Since we had not found our mates, we thought it was best since we were going to be the Alphas of our pack, Hunter’s Moon.
We headed back to the office in midtown to handle a business meeting we needed to deal with. Jessica and Joan were there, they were our wives. We were finalizing the deal to buy a gaming company. A few years ago, our family bought stocks in a few tech companies that made us even richer. Francis went to college for business and I went for technology in order for us to understand what our companies did.
Jessica tried to give me a kiss on my lips but I moved to receive it on my cheek. I could smell her new lover’s scent on her. I didn’t care what she did outside of our bedroom. It didn’t bother me in the least, all I wanted to do was find my mate.
