The New Demon King: The Beginning

"You're the last one, kid!" an ugly looking bandit joyfully stated. Because of fear and confusion, all I was able to do was shake as I slowly move backwards, on a sitting position. What the heck happened?! All I could remember was a normal day in our very rural town here in the forest, until very suddenly, houses were on fire and the women and children were held hostage by a group of bandits. In fear, everyone tried to run, but with the bandits' obvious experience in hurting others and stealing villages, people with no experience in battle were unable to escape; especially for me who haven't reached adulthood. Along my attempt of escape, I found myself cornered by two bandits, one who has mask on his face and an ugly man. All the people who can even fight back might have escaped already so salvation for me is out of reach. At that moment, all I could hope was a miracle. My thoughts were interrupted, when a knife was stabbed on my leg, and I screamed in pain and horror. "Hey! Is it alright to damage the goods?" the masked man, standing a few meters away said. "If it's a young boy, that would be alright. Our patrons don't require young boys such as this, to be perfectly in good condition, y'know. Besides, something like this isn't fatal for an energetic boy like this one" nonchalantly explained by the ugly bandit. I don't want this. If only I was born wealthier, more talented and safer than where I am right now, something like this wouldn't happen. If I was as talented as my brother, I could've escaped quickly, or they might've, at least, seen my value and would not kill me. If only I was wealthy like those nobles, I could've bought some armor or weapons to fight back; I wouldn't be here right now if I wanted to. If only I was born outside of this forest, away from bandits and monsters. With the loss of blood, pain, fear and hopelessness, slowly, I fainted. But before doing so, I saw something floating, saying,  [Congratulations! You have successfully fulfilled the quest!] [You have awakened the Seed of Envy. All of the sealed items would be released]
