Zara did not have the time to be shocked or confused; years of fighting made it easy for her to slip into combat mode at a second’s notice. She stepped back and the sword flew past her face, missing it by inches and burying itself into a wooden pole. She spun in the direction it came from and a cloaked man came running at her. It was weird, Zara could not smell his wolf, could it be… Her thoughts were interrupted when he protracted three sharp blades from the knuckle side of the steel glove he was wearing. Zara had never seen something like that before – she was part mesmerized; part afraid. The man yelled as he ran forward.
