Chapter 3: Lisa“Get back, you stupid thing.” Lisa did her best to block the dog with one foot as she attempted to get into her apartment after work. Finally making it through the door without the dog escaping, Lisa staggered backward and dropped the PetSmart bags she’d been carrying. The dog immediately began sniffing them, her furiously wagging tail knocking over Lisa’s favorite vase in the process. Not that it mattered if it broke.
