9 Money The night Mort Harney threw the rock through the window, his name was still Morris Hernandez, but he was already toying with ways of changing it. He didn’t want to have anything to do with his parents, most especially their name, which clung to him like old sweat he wanted to scrape off his skin. He had invented a few aliases already, ones he used when he planned and executed robberies with other career criminals. He had been Morris for a while. He liked that. And once he called himself Mel.
