23 Dreams Sometimes people appear here in the way station, and they know exactly what’s going on without anyone telling them. The procedure and the set up exactly fits with their view of the afterlife. Not that they had a premonition or anything, I’m not saying that. It’s more a matter of blind luck. Chance. People are very inventive about their various conceptions of what goes on after they die. Some of them are bound to get at least part of it right at least some of the time. So that’s what happens.
