22 Bread Susie went back to Faith Village a few days later. She found Judy in her tent, with a wood stove that had not been there previously. She leaned back in a chair and was smoking a cigar. “Come on in,” she said. Susie entered the tent and sat on the edge of Judy’s cot. “You want a cigar?” said Judy. She flipped open a cigar box next to her and extended a cellophane wrapped cigar in Susie’s direction. “I’ll pass,” said Susie. “Got them from some guy passing by on the corner where I fly a sign. Said he was quitting. Just decided to quit right then and there. I took them, why not? I haven’t smoked in years, but thought I’d try these. They’re nice. You smoke?” Susie shook her head. “Too bad. I’m celebrating. Not exactly sure what, you know? Just feels like time for a celebration
