Three things
Prodigy. Genius. Fast learner.
Three things that I hear from most people when they talk about me. This all started with some lucky guessing in kindergarten where I scored the highest on the entrance exam. It all snowballed from there. From being nominated as a class officer, being appointed for math and science quiz tilts. The path was so extremely lit that it blinded me to an assurance that I am going to be a successful millionaire someday, able to invent some cool gadget, cure some rare disease or become a CEO of my own company. But that was just wishful thinking. There are more things that matter than just a slightly advanced elementary wit because in High School, things changed.
Cute. Athletic. Confident.
Three things that I agonize living without. Well, you can guess my modesty, but I was never really cute or I never really saw myself as cute. I had a short nose, a lazy eye and a protruded mouth. I feel like Gollum on a bad day.
I was never athletic. I like to blame it on asthma but that's just making excuses. I was frail, never a fan of strenuous activities and sports. I tried, I really did but I did not just make the cut. After all, if computer games are an alternative, why leave the comforts of a chair? Let me answer that rhetorical question for you. You need to be active and meet people out there because it will give you confidence. Treat it as advice from a suffering introvert.
Guidance. Privelege. Choice.
Three things that outline my story of a youth struggling with community, personal identity and self-actualization.
