December: First Rain

In the silence of the night, I looked out the window thinking about what I should do in this vast world in solitude, a world that has forgotten the billions of people in it. But for me, this world is just an empty place, be it the family or friends that I have for them, I am just a meaningless shadow, letting out a long breath and ending my daydreams. I started to open my laptop. The only thing I could do right now was study because in a few months the exams would start. My wish for the exams was simple—to get good grades. Because for me, it is only those lessons that can make me feel alive and connect me to the wider world. While I was focusing on studying, an advertisement suddenly appeared on my laptop screen. "Sharpen your English skills by communicating directly with them"' Without thinking, I clicked on the link. Maybe it was just a simple link, or maybe it would be a bridge that would connect me to the wider world and the people in it. I am Rigel Luna, someone who is only considered as an insignificant shadow that makes my life only filled with black and white, but one link managed to color my life.
