Flashback:
I adjusted myself adjacently with my back against Brandon's chest, as he sat holding me tightly around my waist.
I put the sheets around my chest, holding them as to not to reveal my naked body but anyone who'd see us wouldn't even had to make any second guesses that we just had s*x.
We sat at the top of the North Hill. Brandon's favourite spot in the entire town. He loved spending time here and I knew.
But I'd brought him here that night, to make this place special for him.
I initiated the love making process for the first time, knowing how hard it was for me but I felt more vibrant and courageous having Brandon to be the one to hold me.
After roughing ourselves up at bare ground, Brandon grabbed out sheets from his car, for us to cover ourselves.
I sat looking down at the beautiful city lights that reflected the night with their sparkling shades of busy and busty.
"I'm just glad that you happened.", Bran whispered, kissing the back of my ear.
I giggled stupidly as butterflies rain bowed my abdominal cavity.
His touch always had a sweet intoxication on me and I loved his charm affecting my existence.
"You see this city. My father wants me to run this city one day.", He told me moving his hand up my body and placing them along the curve of my breasts.
"And you will. In fact I feel that you'll be the best mayor this city has ever had.", I told him placing my hand upto his face, tracing along his jawline.
It brought back my memories of kissing him passionately moments ago as I lustily licked along his jawline.
"You think so?", He said chuckling a bit.
"Of course I do baby. Why'd you say so?", I asked turning my face towards him, still holding the sheets against my body.
"I don't know. I... I just think that the seat has an overwhelming power that.... That just dissolves a person into it. I... I just don't want to end up being my grandfather.", He said through a low whisper.
I could sense the heaviness in his voice that I knew he was never going to show through his tears.
"Hey... Look at me.", I grabbed his face in both of my hands as I felt the sheets slipping down I held it against my body tightly through the sides between my arms and my chest.
"I know you're best fitted to be the Mayor not because you deserve some power because I know the passion you have in your good heart, to help people. What that monster did to you is never going to define you but what you will do and become is what's going to define you. I know the huge soft heart you have, the passion that drives you crazy to be something big to people that you love and people that love you... And I just want you to be whoever you want to be."
I leaned in kissing him lingeringly.
I deepened the kiss and gained entry and gave him access inside my mouth to explore and I leaned over him as he laid back down on the ground.
"Can I say something?", He asked as we puffed to breath through our swollen lips.
"Yeah.", I said criss crossing the tips of our noses together.
"The entire time you were telling me everything, your your boobs were out and all I could think of about how cute who look talking while naked.", He burst out laughing.
I had my mouth hung open but I laughed with him knowing that he was my everything at the moment and his laugh was my lifeline.
***************
A knock on the door made me jump up out of my thoughts.
I looked down at the rose gold rimmed ring in my hands, tracing my fingers on the carved initials "B&A".
I wiped away my tears that had escaped remembering the sweet memory of my love with Brandon.
I placed the ring down back in the black box alongside the pendant and some other jewelry and closed down the drawer, locking it and placing the key inside one of the multiple black square boxes on the corner table of the closet. I placed down the box at end least end.
Well.... Too much work for someone to reach my jewelry box.
I went out of my closet and saw Margaret standing outside holding her phone in her hands.
I smiled at her and took the phone.
It was a long awaited face off to a consequence because of my runaway stunt but I had to do it.
"I'll keep an eye out for you.", Margaret offered making her way out of the room giving me my privacy as I really needed it.
I opened the phone and went to the log, dialling in the number.
My heart raced haphazardly in my chest. I skipped a million beat in a second, closing myself near to a heart attack.
He picked the phone up at the second ring.
"Hi! What's up?", He called out as soon as he picked the phone.
Hearing his voice escaped a tear out of my eye. I realised how badly I've missed him.
My lip already trembled with the fear of him hanging up on me.
I bit my lip down controlling my fear.
"Uncle?", I said softly through a broken voice.
I sniffed hard, stopping myself from crying.
"What do you want? And why are you calling me?", He spoke harshly through the other side of the phone.
My fear hit me back into reality as tears escaped down my eyes and I knew I'd lost bad.
"Uncle.... I.... I just wanted ask you how have you been doing?", I said through my cracked voice.
"The same way I have been the past six years.", He said back and at this point I felt a ray of hope inside my heart lightened for the possible community Uncle and I could have.
"I'm.... I'm sorry. I know what I did was wrong and I am guiltful of that. I just never had the courage to talk to you.", I channeled out my feelings.
He heaved a sigh at the other side of the phone.
I started pacing back and forth waiting for him to say something.
"Listen... I think I should come by perhaps?", He said more like a question and I couldn't be more than happy to answer.
"Of course!", I said excitedly. "You should. Please.", I stood leaning against the wall near the bed side table.
"Yeah... I... I've got a lot to tell and well we could discuss a lot as well?", He asked potently.
"Yes of course. Thanks for.... Umm... Listening to me.", I thanked him in particular as I fought my anxiety to call him.
"Well... I guess it all just needed was one call.", He said sarcastically.
"Wasn't sarcasm my department?", I asked him being more sarcastic.
I stood straight up and my hand hit the bed side lamp that went crashing down the table on the floor breaking into pieces, creating a loud thud noise.
Oh s**t!
"What happened? Is everything okay?", Uncle asked through the other side.
"Yeah... My bedside lamp just fell down. But when will you come?", I asked him focusing on my aim of meeting him.
"Umm... I don't know maybe tomorrow or by Wednesday.", He said.
I bent down picking up the scrambled broken pieces of lamp and stacking them up at one side.
"I'll wait for you.", I told him smiling out from ear to ear.
"Sure.", He said as he hung up the phone.
I smiled looking down at the phone as I threw it on the bed and stacked the pieces of the lamp.
My finger caught the sharp edge of the broken bulb that cut through it and I hissed at the dropping blood.
I picked myself up but before I could move ahead my eyes caught a glimpse of something that made me stop my pace.
I bent down and picked a small black piece of metal that was placed at a distance from the rest of the pieces.
I accessed it closely and it looked like a chip.
The lamp didn't break down entirely so the internal parts of the lamp weren't out and only the upper body of the lamp, the shades, the iron handle and the bulb was broken.
The black piece in my hand was square, almost two inches in size and had two silver metallic wire radared an inch out from each side.
Something instantly hit me.
I picked Margaret's phone up and googled
"Microphone Bugs"
I went into the images and my fear was true.
It was indeed a metallic bug.
Someone bugged my room.
My breath caught itself in air at the mere thought of that. My heart skipped beats at the thought of that. I already felt myself sweating profusely.
Someone bugged my room
But who did it? Brandon?
But wasn't having his spy dangling on my head 24/7 enough? That he needed to bug my room.
What if it's dad? I couldn't trust him either. He's been more of a suspicious person to me than even Brandon. Especially after that night in his study.
He could've bugged my room to see if I talked to Brandon and if we shared a normal relationship or just to keep a check on me.
It's just a cheap thing to do. I felt disgusted at the idea of someone bugging my room but again, everyone around me had been doing quite illegal things since I came back to Cherwood.
"Are you done yet?", Margaret opened my door making me shrill my pace.
I hid the bug under my pillow and sat straight up.
"Yeah!", I faked a smile.
And then another realisation hit me.
It's not just a lamp. The bugs could be around here anywhere. They could be under the bed, in my closet, in my bathroom.
Are there even any cameras?
"Amy?", Margaret shook me out of my thoughts.
"Where are you lost? I just told you something?", She laughed looking down at me.
"Yeah... Of course. Sure.", I faked out thinking that she asked me to do something.
"So come on let's go. He's waiting for you downstairs.", She gestured me to move and follow her.
"Who's.... Who's waiting for me?", I asked through a shaky voice, following her down.
"I just told you Brandon is here.", She said as we made our way down the stairs.
I gulped down hard.
What if he's the one to put the bugs in my room and he'd heard me talking to Uncle Daniel and he's here to kill me or punish me.
I stepped down and saw him standing in the hall room wearing a simple blue button down with sleeved rolled up. His veins were popping out making him look even more hot.
Focus Amy! He might have just bugged your room!
I went near him and I noticed how Margaret had a smile on her face.
I rose my eyebrow quite higher than it should go.
"What's going on?", I asked as I noticed Brandon and Margaret sharing glances.
"I'm here to take you.", Brandon announced and his words scared the life out of me.
I squinted my eyes at him being the Sherlock. "Where?"
"It's a surprise.", Brandon smirked as he said. "Come on let's go."
He said grabbing my wrist and making me walk with him.
His legs and pace were fast making it difficult for me to follow.
Even his touch wasn't even gentle yet delicate than the last time he touched and harshly mishandled me.
We finally reached the car and he opened the car door for me to follow in and sit inside.
I knew there was no point of fighting him so I simply sat down.
But a fear was still dangling inside my heart. The last he took me somewhere, it didn't ended well.
I just hoped that this time it's not him torturing someone.
After a short while of drive and killing silence I decided to ask him.
"Where are we going?"
"You'll know.", He said calmly.
Should I ask him about the bugs?
I questioned my own self.
What if he's not the one who did it and then he tries to find out who did that and there's no one except for him and dad who would do that. No! I'm don't want my next ride to be to a place where he'd tied dad up to a chair that his men are frying.
I turned to give Brandon a final look and his expressions were calm and subtle. Which was unusual of him to do so.
He turned his head towards me and our eyes met.
The usual hatred and annoyance was missing from his eyes and I somehow felt good about it.
Amy! Don't forget what he's doing to you.
My inner self always kept reminding me about Brandon's intentions.
But do I really know his intentions?
I was wearing flip flops when he dragged me out of my house, I took them off and crossed my legs on the seat.
"Do you ever wear anything besides these clothes?", He said assessing my look head to toe.
I wore a pair of denim shorts and sweat shirt that hung lose at the next.
"Well... I feel comfortable in these clothes.", I said crossing my hands across my chest.
"I asked Rosita to replace your entire wardrobe. You should wear that. You have a reputation to carry.", He said plainly.
Was he trying to make out a conversation? Because he wasn't yelling and ordering. Which was an unusual thing of him to do.
I looked at him with squinted eyes and a c****d eyebrow.
What had gotten into him today? Why wasn't he yelling or hurting or forcing me to so something I don't want to. Not that I mind seeing this side of his but it only made me suspicious.
"I find those clothes an obligatory penalty of the corporate world.", I simply told him back earning a scoff from him.
"Make yourself used to of this obligatory penalty.", He sternly replied back.
Now I could sense out a hint of the asshole Brandon out of him.
He took a turn and lead the car towards the hillside area.
"Where are you taking me?", I asked him and he remained quiet.
"I swear if this ends up with you electrifying someone in a chair, I know, I'm calling the cops on you. I don't care what you'll do to me then. But I'm so gonna call the cops on you.", I told him sternly.
"How will you call?", He said and I just realised about the phone thing.
I looked at him with squinted eyes and he had a smirk on his face that I wanted to remove off badly.
Every dog has it's day!
I looked outside the window and waited for us to finally reach a destination.
He finally stopped the car in front of a huge gate.
The location was a few miles out of Cherwood. I looked at the huge gates and a board outside stated, "Property of the Mayhews"
Okay! This is new for me.
Soon the guards opened the gates as Brandon rolled his Mercedes inside the gates.
The car passed by huge trees and green fields of grasses. The colour was vibrant and fresh signifying that they have been kept clean and fresh. We car rolled in further and new fields of plantations of plants and flowers came into view. The fresh reflecting colours were a treat for the eyes. It wasn't just a garden in itself but there were multiple huge gardens that were reflecting beautiful signifying colors.
A garden came into view where a man in white clothes wearing gardening gloves stood holding down a huge knife. He smiled and waved as soon as he saw the car and I looked at Brandon who waved his hand back at him.
I practically rolled my eyes at that.
After another five minutes of drive we finally reached in front of the house.
It was a huge white exquisite farm house that had large glass panes reflecting the lights from the inside. It had a staircase on the outside that separated the upstairs completely from the ground story of the house.
We walked outside the car into the house and as per usual my recent encounters I was expecting another cardiac arrest
We walked outside the car into the house and as per usual my recent encounters I was expecting another cardiac arrest.
"Again... Why have you brought me here?", I asked for the umpeath time.
"Why don't you just drop it?", He asked heaving a sigh and opening in the door to the house.
I stepped behind him inside the house and took in the beautiful view of the inside interior.
"She's here.", Brandon announced and two figure stepped out making me shrill.
I expected two built up body guards looking for my blood to serve themselves but they were instead Grandma and Hazel.
I screamed out loud with happiness and excitement as I hugged the two simultaneously together.
I felt joy dancing inside my heart making it's way on my face.
"Oh my God! I can't believe you guys are here.", I said as I broke my brace.
"I've missed you so much dear.", Grandma said pecking my cheek and my forehead and every other possible inch of my face.
"Even we can't believe that we're seeing you before your wedding.", Hazel said and I knew that she was being sarcastic.
"But what are you guys doing here?", I asked without giving thoughts to the entire process.
I heard Brandon clear his throat and I turned around to see him standing with his hands inside his pocket and smiling out.
It was for the first time I saw him smiling. The spread across his pink rosy lips, the warmness it brought to my heart. I felt flattered to see him smile.
And then it hit me. Yesterday when he had given me the list of guests, I wrote Grandma and Hazel's name down on it, never expecting it to happen in real. But he actually got them.
Did he do that just to make me happy?
I realized I was ogling over him so I immediately straightened my posture, shaking my head with inappropriate thoughts.
Don't lose focus you weak b***h!
"Brandon brought us here. To surprise you.", Grandma spoke making me look at Brandon who stood with his studded smile.
The cuteness and warmness of his smile was melting me.
He shouldn't be allowed to smile. He was better off being the rude maniac!
But he looks so cute smiling. Just like a stuffed teddy bear.
Focus you weak b***h!
I shook every thought away.
"Umm... I... It really was a surprise.", I told brand smiling back a much creepy ones.
He c****d his eyebrows at my expressions and I knew I was making myself look like a weasel.
"Well... Thanks.", I told him back.
Hazel and grandma stood besides me assessing my ring.
"Only a rough thanks?", Hazel asked giving me a pierced look through her spectacles.
"Oh come on Haze! She's just saving it later for the bedroom show.", Grandma said and the two laughed out loud leaving me embarrassed to my life.
Crimson color peaked into my cheeks at Grandma's words.
I heard Brandon chuckling and I looked at him as he laughed with his heart.
"He's a nice one.", Grandma said grabbing out Brandon's arm and standing besides him.
"Thanks Mrs. Anderson.", Brandon said through a smile.
I smiled goofily just by looking at his deadly crushing smile.
"Oh please! Call me Lily.", She said with joy and excitement.
"You never let me call you Lily.", I complained.
"She even let's me call her Lily.", Hazel interrupted making me furious.
"Sure Lily.", Brandon said leaning in and pecking Grandma on her cheek.
He looked up at me with a perched smile.
Did he just smile looking at me?
Today was definitely a day full of surprises for me!
"Congratulations Amy!", I heard a male voice call out and I turned around to see Dr. Chase standing near an aisle that lead towards the kitchen.
He wore a pair of white shorts and an open from front button down that showed his smooth and perfectly tanned and toned abs, holding a glass of drink in his hands.
He looked like a ken doll that would be portraying barbie in one of the machina p**n movies.
"Dr. Chase... Hey!", I waved my hands awkwardly at him, failing for fake an enthusiasm.
What was he doing here?
"Well hi.", He said placing the glass down on a table and walking near me.
I looked at Brandon who had his eyes squinted at Chase and moved his head between me and him.
"What are you doing here?", I asked him still looking at Brandon who had his deadly gaze stuck at Chase who was in fact walking towards me.
"You look amazing. Congratulations.", He said eyeing me head to toe leaped me in a hug.
I looked over at Brandon over Chase's shoulder and he gave me a stern expression.
Of course he would be furious, not because he felt something for me but because he felt raged at whoever tried messing with his possession and at the moment I was one and bringing grandma and Hazel here definitely brought the horrific reality that they were now always under his watch.
"You're one lucky man.", Chase announced to Brandon as he let go off me. He offered his hand to congratulate Brandon.
I knew Brandon way too well by now and he had become excellent at faking it.
He smiled at Chase taking in his hand to shake.
"Woah! Easy there big guy.", Chase laughed as Brandon shrugged his hand way too tightly.
This is getting awkward.
"You know... It's funny how I still don't get how you guys just got into this hustle of marriage.", Hazel asked out of the blue.
My eyes shot up looking over at Brandon who looked in a much calmer tone.
Oh no! He can't tell the same story, I told everyone in Cherwood. Hazel and Grandma knew about everything that ever happened in my life and if I told them I met Brandon back in Miami they would definitely get suspicious.
"Well we met back in...", Brandon began but I cut him off.
"That.... We will not tell you guys...", Everybody looked at me with confusion. "We will tell you over a dinner. You guys must be really tired right now so... You should just get some rest and we'll see you over dinner."
I went to stand right next to Brandon putting my hand around his waist giving him a cue to speak.
"Of course yes! The dinner.", He said acting out completely.
"Okay! Well I'm really tired. I could really use a shower. They actually have some good saunas in here....", Hazel and Grandma began their talk as they made their way towards their rooms.
I stepped away from Brandon realising the awkwardness of our closeness.
He looked directly into my eyes and I felt butterflies all over my body through his gaze.
"Well then I'll see you at the dinner I guess?", Chase asked making me look at him.
"Yeah sure.", I told him but something hit me. "What are you doing here? Well... Not that I don't appreciate you coming to my wedding but I mean... I thought you might be busy."
"Well they won't allow your grandma to travel due to her heart condition so I tagged along and who would say no to a free vacation.", He stated shrugging off his shoulders.
"Her heart condition?", I asked getting conscious of grandma, "What happened? Is everything okay?"
"Yes... She's doing great. Just some minor stress that non-radicated her ECG ratings.", He stated.
"Must be the news...", I mumbled to myself.
"What?", He asked trying to make out my words.
"Oh nothing. You enjoy whilst you're at it.", I said smiling at him.
"Of course. I mean you getting engaged? That was sudden.", He pointed out and I laughed awkwardly.
"I'm leaving...", Brandon almost yelled walking out at a distance from me. "If you want you can come or stay."
I was rather taken aback from him but I excused myself immediately from Chase and followed Brandon out.
"Walk slow... Your legs are longer.", I told him pacing behind, running to catch him.
I soon got inside the car following him and felt out of breath.
Brandon's expressions were stern and motive. I looked every now and then over at him and his clenched jaw sharpened out his jawline. It felt like my finger would bleed if I touched his jawline.
"We still need to come up with lie, about the whole engagement thing.", I pointed out breaking the awkward silence.
"I'll tell Jean, he'll think of something.", He said through his heavy stern voice.
I bet batman rented his voice out whilst he roamed in his suit.
"You even have people to think for you. Wow.", I was definitely being sarcastic here.
"At least I'm considerably enough to think.", Brandon complained back making my jaw drop with his accusations.
"What are you trying to implement?", I asked him infuriated with anger.
"Forget it!", He scoffed making me feel even more offended.
"Tell Jean to think of an excellent lie, because I'll be thinking of lots of lies and I bet mine will be way better than Jean's because I'm very considerable enough to think about things.", I stated proudly but pounded for a second over my own words.
What the f**k were you even thinking to say that? You are a weak b***h Amy!
I daunted my own self.
"Remember you told me you're smarter than you look?", Brandon said and I looked over at him with a c****d eyebrow. "Well you are pretty stupid and you look incredibly stupid."
He stated out rudely making my jaw drop down to my feet.
"Now get out of my car.", He said opening up the door from a button that was near his wheel.
I squinted my eyes at him with puffing breath out my nostrils.
If there could be a temperature check, at that point mine would be somewhere near the boiling point of human blood. I could already feel steam fuming out of my ears and nostrils.
"Asshole!", I called out and stepped out of the car.
"And don't wear something stupid for the dinner.", He called out as I walked inside the house.
I shoved him a middle finger as I walked into the house not caring whether he likes it or not.
As I finally reached my room and laid down on my bed, I thought about everything that just had happened and huge smile spread across my face.
The picture of Brandon smiling and laughing kept on playing in front of my face over and over again and I couldn't help but feel flattered.
I guess my feelings for him needed a shock therapy to help retain in their right minds.

Third Person P.O.V:
As on the other hand Amy sat and reflected upon her feelings for the guy she crushed and perhaps still loved -- the Mayor, there was indeed another plan about to go in its phase of implementation.
The three men stood by the docks, which was now the territory of the Paige industries. They had their dirty businesses smuggled at the docks but they were rather more restricted due to the conscientious Mayor.
They stood surrounded by their men who looked for their safety and lives.
"It's time to put our plan into action.", The guy who stood tall, with his blonde hair falling down his forehead, with some of them sleeked back, announced.
He gestured to one of his men who stood wearing a black leather jacket.
"You know, who the target is?", Cole asked the leather jacket guy who was a hired professional hitman.
"The Mayor Brandon Mayhew.", He announced with confidence.
"Good!", Sean Paige announced as he stood wearing his black suit. He was the father of Mayor's former love interest and himself was a former candidate to the house of the mayor and had lost three times already. Even once to the current Mayor.
"Pick the gun up from the Magnet, my man, you know which one. I want you to shoot him with my favourite gun.", The blond guy ordered the hitman, as he placed down the advance payment, who took off at his command.
"Good work son! Nice day to strike.", Sean laughed nastily as patted his blonde son's back bringing proud of his dirty games.
"You remember the deal Cole?", Eric asked Cole standing straight with his back facing Cole.
"Deal's a deal!", Cole said coldly, "But you see, a deal's not a promise.", He shrugged his shoulders, playing dangerously with Eric's broken temper.
"A deal means life! And if you can't make it happen!", He turned around yelling and blazing death into Cole's eyes, "Then no deal means no life.", He smirked psychotically playing with Cole's patience now.
"Listen! You'll be having everything. Why here? You're making it a double and difficult on my behalf. I already have here acquainted with Brandon what makes you think it's easy for me to get her to you after this?", Cole argued. A little on the inside, he scared for his daughter. She still was his blood and he knew the kind of broken person Eric was mentally, Cole would still prefer Brandon over him.
"You'll find a way Cole.", Eric threw off his charming smile at Cole and squeezed his shoulder throwing him a warning glare.
Cole felt pressed hard at playing cards by betting his own daughter but he was blinded by the lust of something more bigger and powerful.
The three men stood sharing their dirty shank as they celebrating as Eric poured them all glasses of whiskey to celebrate their first strike.
