Anthony’s POV
I looked down at the hospital bed and sighed, happy that my girl was safe. I got a text from her saying that she was okay and I instantly tried to call but it went to voicemail. Panicking, I went to the police station and before anything else was done, they got a call telling me that she had been spotted at a nearby gas station in a car matching the one Brent drove off in. I went with the responding officers and jumped out the car as soon as I saw her. We hugged and cried before I realized she only had a jacket in.
The guy at the gas station explained she was fully naked when she came for help and I looked down at her with fear in my eyes. She looked back and assured me she wasn’t r***d or touched and I breathed a sigh of relief. She gave the best directions so officers could find his house but when they did, the place was trashed and he was long gone.
After reuniting, she was taken to a hospital to be treated for her minor cuts and bruises as well as to confirm if she was actually pregnant or not. She was and we were both so excited.
I silently vowed to protect them both and to never let her out of my sight. She was discharged and we went home.
“What the hell are you doing?”
“Getting ready for work, rent is due soon.”
I looked at her in disbelief.
“Your pregnant with my child so your not going anywhere especially not to shake your ass in front of strangers!”
She spun around and glared at me.
“I was doing this before I met you and incase you forgot, it isn’t for fun, it’s so I can pay my bills and live.”
“I’m here now, I’ll take care of us. Your not going, end of discussion. Your not some stripper hoe.”
Tara’s POV
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.
“So I’m a stripper hoe if I go to work?”
“Yep.”
I was suddenly angry. How dare him? The nerve of this b***h!!!
“I wasn’t a hoe when you met me though. I wasn’t a hoe when you started claiming means your girl. But now I’m a hoe?”
“You weren’t pregnant with my child then, were you?”
I clenched my teeth before giving up and taking my clothes off. I wasn’t going anywhere and I knew it. Part of me was angry but the other part was so grateful for his stubbornness. I sighed before stripping down and putting on one of his shirts for pajamas. When he saw me, he was pleased.
“Don’t smile, I’m still mad at you.”
He smiled anyway before telling me he loved me and slapping my ass before heading to take a shower.
I rolled my eyes and got started on dinner when the phone rang.
“Hello?”
Whoever it was, they just breathed into the phone. I got creeped out and hung up.
It rang again.
This time I picked up with anger, sure it was Brent.
“Listen, you better leave me alone. I told you I don’t love you Brent! Please okay?! Please leave me alone!”
There was a slight chuckle before the phone call disconnected.
I felt chills down my spine...whoever it was, it wasn’t Brent.
