Anthony’s POV:
I sit by the door as doctors walk in and out of Tara’s hospital room. She passed out in the car and hasn’t woken up since, no matter what I tried so I had to bring her to the hospital. I don’t know what it is with this girl but it’s like she just attracts the worst of the worst. Her phon has been blowing up and I assume it’s another ex. The messages this person is sending is just insane, don’t they have a life? I've never experienced anything like this. The girl was downright gorgeous but was all of this worth it to date her? I haven’t even been living in the city this long and I’m already fighting other men and getting dragged into some s**t. I might need to sit down and evaluate everything but for right now, little lady needs me so I’m gonna be right here with her.
“Excuse me sir?” I look up when I hear a nurse speaking to me.” You need to wait in the waiting room down the hall, she needs further testing.”
I nod and walk down the hall and wait. As I do, my phone rings and I pick up.
“What happened to poker night? I got a few girls at the house waiting on you bro!” Adrian sounded irritated and knowing him, it was because he wasn’t smashing those girls yet.
“Go on and do your thing without me, Tara in the hospital so I’m gonna stay.”
“Damn well hope she feels better. Peace”
“Peace bro”
As I hang up, I see the doctor that was in Tara’s room earlier.
“Can I go back and see her? Who knows how long the testing will take.”
“Sir she doesn’t need testing she was just suffering from exhaustion so we gave her extra fluids. You never had to leave”
“But the male nurse told me I did”
“What male nurse?...”
Me and the doctor looked before running towards the room and just like I feared, she wasn’t there anymore. We panicked and alerted security around the building to watch out for her and anyone trying to take her. Maybe those threats on her phone were really serious. Holy f**k, I’ve never dealt with some crazy s**t like this! I run checking every floor with security, already half scared to death.
Adrian’s POV:
“Woah what’s going on with you? Why you so angry beautiful? I was just saying hi!”
No response as Crystal continues to storm past me and ignore me. I ran into her at Costco but she’s not her normal, upbeat self. In fact, she seems pretty pissed off.
“Fine be like that” I say walking away from her. I wasn’t going to chase after some chick who wasn’t my girl anyway. I mean seriously, she’s not my concern so I’m not going to press her about what’s up her ass. As I’m waiting in line to pay for my stuff, I feel an arm grab me and pull me. I look down and see the same beauty that just ignored me moments ago.
“I’m sorry okay? It’s not you, I’m just stressed out. I got into an argument with Tara.”
“What? You always tell me she’s like family!”
“Not anymore” she states flatly before beginning to tell me everything. I was glad the fight wasn’t over my cousin because I would’ve been a little jealous. He moved here a few days ago and nearly every woman he came into contact with, wanted him. It was insane! But I honestly felt bad for her, what kind of friend only goes after people you want? This Tara girl seemed like a hoe, and the worst type at that. I made a mental note to speak with Anthony later.
“I just-just can’t d-do this” she said, bursting out crying. I felt bad for the girl, I mean she was crying and it seemed like she had nobody to turn to. I sighed as I unconsciously grabbed her waist and pulled her into my arms. She looked up at me and we stared at each other until we slowly inched forward into a breathtaking kiss. As our lips moved, she melted deeper into my arms and let out soft moans.
“Hey!!”
“You’re holding up the line!!!”
We looked up and laughed as we saw a long line of frustrated customers trying to move past us. I intertwined her fingers with mine and lead her to my car, looking back to see her blushing at me. I won’t lie, it was probably the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen. As we load up in the car, I put my arm around her and she snuggles into my side before we pull off.
Sammy’s POV:
“I can’t believe all my best girls decided not to come into work today!! What the hell am I supposed to do on such short notice?!!”
“ I can help you with that, but I need something in return”
“Who the hell are you and why shouldn’t I kick you out my office?”
“Because we both like the same thing: money”
I look up and the stranger and smirk before answering.
“You’ve peaked my interest, what’s up?”
