Almost a month later in March, Elena felt like she could have a night out. She was certain her kidnapper had moved on as she hadn’t heard a peep from him. Everything was back to normal, and she was having a night out with Loredana, Isabella, and Francesco. Even Loredana’s boyfriend was joining them.
Elena was walking in Navigli near the canals of Milan, with Isabella, the reflection of all the small pubs and ancient trattorias shining in the surface of the water. Crowds flocked around the pubs and restaurants, with a footbridge over the water creating an even more spectacular view.
