Chapter Seven

Two weeks had passed and life as Mae knew it was starting to become her normal.

Even though it wasn't what she had imagined life with her mates to be at least it was better then what she was used to. Despite looking identical they were all different personality wise and she was able to act differently around each of them, and how she spoke to them as well. Ace was the more aggressive, quick to anger one. If she was going to argue with one it was Ace.

Sometimes it seemed like he enjoyed arguing with her, no matter what she did or said there was usually an argument to follow. She had no issues telling him off either no matter how he reacted afterwards. For now at least he had stopped putting his hands on her but she could tell when he was really angry with her that he wanted to, and that always scared her.

Max was the more sensitive brother, he tried to hide it but he was always the one that was the most willing to talk to her about random things and her feelings. Despite acting like a bad ass she saw through him.

Kai was the more wild card she never knew what personality he would have any given day. He could be funny, anti social and a borderline asshole. But she at least felt safe with him unlike when Ace gets mad.

She knew there was no chance they would mate or Mark her which was still so confusing but at least they were trying to be decent to her at least. Now Katherine and Alyssa was a different story. Katherine was always very bitchy to Mae she was definitely worried that one day Ace would ditch her and take Mae, but that obviously wasn't going to happen.

Alyssa wasn't as bitchy but she wasn't nice to her either.

The hardest part was listening to them having s*x with her mates. It wasn't every night anymore thank goodness but it still hurt. Today was the day she decided it was time to tour around the pack for the first time.

" Do you want company?" Kai asked her during breakfast.

" I'm OK but thank you" she told him.

" You need someone with you, you'll get lost" Ace told her.

" I'll be fine" she replied back.

Ace rolled his eyes " Just do what you're told" he said glaring at her.

She sighed " Fine company would be nice Kai" she told him.

" Good it's about time you started listening " Ace told her.

" OH shut up" she responded as he chuckled.

Once breakfast was over Mae and Kai got into his truck and he sped off. This was her first time alone with any of them and it actually was making her nervous. At least at the pack house the other brothers were around and staff.

" The pack is pretty large, there's currently about three thousand members. It expands really far too, we're definitely bigger then your pack" he told her.

" That's not hard to do was basically nothing" she told him as he smiled.

As they drove Mae was just in awe it was beautiful here. So many gardens and parks it was no wonder Ace wanted her to have company it just kept going and going.

" Over there is the community centre. They're always putting on various activities for when you're ready" he told her.

" Like what?" she asked him.

" Yoga, exercise, dance, lunchins, parties" he told her shrugging his shoulders.

" OH and over there is the only night club, gets pretty intense I've heard" he told her.

" You don't go?" she asked him.

He shook his head no " not something were into" he told her.

After a few hours he had shown her the entire pack " Are you hungry?" he asked.

She shrugged her shoulders " maybe" she responded.

" Me too let's get something to eat" he pulled over to a random restaurant as they got out.

It wasn't fancy but it wasn't simple either. They Sat down at a table as she looked at the menu, this wasn't something she was used to at all.

" What's good here?" she asked looking up at him.

" Pretty much everything " he told her.

" This is my first time at a restaurant " she told him.

He burst out laughing " No way. Damn they really kept you locked up" he said and she nodded.

" He's trash" he muttered under his breath.

Once the waitress came over they both ordered. He had a rare steak and she just got a salad.

" Just because Ace thinks you're fat doesn't mean you can't eat you know" Kai told her.

" I know just wanted a salad" she told him.

They ate mostly in silence while chatting here and there.

" I'll be right back" she said getting up to use the bathroom.

Once she was finished she washed her hands and looked at herself in the mirror. Why was she so flustered? It's not like this was a date or anything. She sighed and left the bathroom. Without looking she bumped into a man.

" Watch yourself pretty girl wouldn't want you to get hurt" he told her grabbing onto her waist steading her.

" Thanks" she replied quietly trying to move but he held her into place.

" Wait you're the future Luna. Absolute shame" he said licking his lips as he looked down at her.

" Please let me go" she said.

His grip tightened on her " If you were my girl I would've marked you long time ago" he told her.

" That's nice" she told him.

He ended up pushing her into the wall " You smell so good. How about you and I hook up?" he asked her.

" Get away from me" she told him.

" Get away from my mate" Kai suddenly spoke in his harsh Alpha voice.

" She's not your mate you haven't marked her" he spoke.

Kai didn't respond he grabbed onto the guys arm and twisted it hard. Once he let go of Mae he slammed his head into the wall several times.

" Kai" Mae told him as he stopped and looked at her.

" You know better then to f**k with me and what's mine" he said slamming his head into the wall once more before putting his hand on Mae's arm as they left the restaurant.

Kai kept muttering under his breath the entire drive home and growling with frustration.

" Did you mean that?" she suddenly spoke up.

" Mean what?" he asked not taking his eyes off the road.

" That I'm yours?" she asked him.

He laughed a harsh laugh " By law yes you're mine. By choice no" was all he said.

"Oh" was all she said.

" Wait you thought that meant something? What that were going to fall in love or something? It's not like that at all Mae" he told her as he laughed.

" Got it" she said as she wiped away a silent tear as he kept driving.

She didn't say anything else on the drive home. Once they got back to the pack house she instantly went upstairs to her room.

" Stop being such a b***h" Kai called after her.

" What's going on?" Ace asked as he came out of their office.

" Someone was trying to get with her, I put him in his place. She's being dramatic thinking I want her" Kai told him rolling his eyes.

" Well glad you stopped him. She is ours, just because we want nothing to do with her doesn't change that. I'll never f**k or kiss her but doesn't mean anyone else can" Ace told him.

" Exactly She's just being annoying" Kai told him.

Mae stood at the bottom of the stairs where they couldn't see her. Why do these guys suck so much she asked herself as she went upstairs to cry some more.
