I rushed over to a seat, strapping myself in frantically as the seat belt became like butter and I was unable to grasp it. With a few failed attempts, I finally managed to clip myself in. Suddenly, the airport lit up with flood lights, turning the night sky into day. "Shit." Dimitri blurted. "We need to get off the ground now!" He yelled. I closed my eyes and thought about praying as they pushed the levers forwards and the plane began to move. I wasn't at all religious but it felt like this was probably the time I met the moon goddess face to face. The sound of men shouting and dogs barking came from the main tower and the tension inside of the plane was building fast. Gun fire erupted and the sound of bullets ricocheting from the plane had me fearing for my life in more ways than one.
