Chapter Seven: Day After the Ball

Samantha's POV

I wake up the next day, cuddled up to my mate. Knowing what we did the night before puts a smile on my face.

I slowly get out of bed as not to wake him up, knowing that he does need his rest, and head downstairs to the kitchen.

"Good morning, mom and dad," I say with a smile on my face, seeing my parents in the kitchen already.

"Morning, princess." my father replies.

They both see the mark on my neck.

"I see that it didn't take the two of you very long to complete the mating ritual," my mother smiles.

I nod and smile, knowing that my cheeks are bright red with my blush. Then I see Alpha Bruce and Luna Celeste walk into the kitchen, and they both stop and stare at me.

"Morning, Alpha and Luna," I greet them.

"Good morning, Samantha," they say in unison.

I hear my mate walking down the stairs and start to blush even more.

"Morning, family," my mate says as he comes up behind me and pulls me into him, sniffing my neck.

"Morning, Todd," everyone replies.

We all sit down as a family and have breakfast, which is eggs, bacon, and pancakes, which, of course, is my favorite meal.

Todd and I sit next to each other and watch as our parents get along as if they were always from the same pack, which is very awesome.

We finish our breakfast, and I stand up.

"As you all know, we are now one pack combined, and it is a huge pack. Now that I am Luna of the White-Blue Moon pack, I will need all your help." I address my mother and Celeste, who both nod at my words, knowing very well that we all will need to team up and help each other out.

I am alpha-born, which means that if my mate and I were to end up having pups, my pregnancy would only last about four months instead of the usual nine that humans go through.

"Todd," I address him.

"Yes, my love," Todd replies.

"Let us go for a walk.”

"Sounds like a good idea, love." Todd stands up and helps me out of my seat, and we head out to the sidewalk towards the training field.

"Well, love, I don't know about you, but what do you think our families would do if they find out that we want to start a family?" I ask him.

"I don't know what they would do, but I know that I would be happy whenever we decide to start a family of our own," he tells me.

I look at him and start smiling.

Selene's POV

I already have a feeling that my daughter and her mate will be expecting soon since I am the Moon Goddess, but of course, I will wait for them to tell us about it all.

My mate and I head to the alpha’s office to talk with Alpha and Luna Black about the living conditions.

We needed to see if the White Moon and Blue Moon pack members could combine the two territories and create one significant region so that we can have more than one packhouse.

Sitting at the desk in the alpha's office is Alpha Black, with Celeste sitting on the arm of his chair.

"Alpha Black, I was wondering if we could combine the territories of the two packs? That way, we have two packhouses to house all of the pack members and their families,” I suggest.

"That does sound very reasonable. What do you say about this, Alpha White?"

"I say we should do this," my husband says.

"Then it is a done deal," Alpha Black replies.

I sit back and relax, knowing that everything will work out.

"Okay, let us make the announcement this afternoon when the kids are back from their walk," I tell them. Then I get up to go to the kitchen to help the omegas make dinner for both packs, which now has over 2000 pack members.

Todd’s POV

"Hey babe, you look beautiful with the sun beaming down on your skin," I say, seeing her blush.

"So do you," she replies, blushing even harder.

Yes, we have only been married for one day and pretty much just met, but I can honestly say that I have never been happier than I am today.

Plus, with my super wolf hearing, I can already hear the beating of our pups’ heartbeats, which my lovely wife has not yet noticed.

I smile at my fantastic mate and link my dad. 'Dad, I got some news for you and mom that my mate doesn't know yet.'

'What is it, son?' My dad asks.

'My mate is pregnant. I can already hear the heartbeats. Please have the pack doctor ready to see us when we get back from our walk.'

'Will do, son. Give us about an hour, okay?'

'Will do, dad. See you guys in an hour.'

An hour later, I tell my wife, "Baby, let’s head back to the house for lunch."

She looks at me and smiles. "That sounds good, plus I am tired and want to sit down for a while."

We head back to the Alpha Quarters and go into the kitchen, and the pack doctor greets us.

"Alpha Todd and Luna Samantha, it is good to see that you two are getting along just fine. Would you two please follow me?"

The pack doctor heads towards the Alpha’s Office on the main floor, and we follow her.

"What do we owe this visit from you today. doctor?" Asks Samantha, looking worried.

"Well, from the sounds of it, if my hearing is as good as it's supposed to be, this visit is a check up on the pups that you are carrying, Luna Samantha," the doctor tells her, and I smile at him.

"What do you mean by pups, doctor? I couldn't possibly be pregnant already! My mate and I just met and married yesterday," Samantha says, shocked.

"Well, dear, with both of you having alpha blood in you, it means that as soon as the two of you are fully mated that your mate will impregnate you."

Samantha looks at me with worry on her face.

"Samantha, my love, I am happy about this news. Don't you want to find out at least how many pups we are going to have?' I ask her.
