Samantha's POV
I get done talking with the pack doctor, finding out that I am indeed pregnant with my mate’s pups, two of them. My mate and I walk back to the kitchen, where our parents are sitting and waiting for us to get back.
"Well, Samantha, what was that all about?" My mother asks me.
"Well, she came to find out I am pregnant already," I say, smiling proudly.
"Congratulations!" My mother smiles brightly.
I look around at my father and Todd's parents to see that they are pleased about the news, as well.
"Did all you guys know before I did?" I ask them.
"I tell them before we got back to the house, love," Todd tells me.
I punch Todd in the arm as hard as I can.
"Ouch, what was that for?"
"You knew about the pups before I did! How could that be, when it is my body?"
Todd sits there, rubbing his arm, but is smiling at me.
I stand there thinking of how the next four months will be like and whether or not the pups are going to be boys or girls, or possibly both. With me, I will be happy either way, but I am not sure how my mate will react.
I look over at my mate and just smile at him, picturing a miniature Todd running around after his father, and wonder if my mate would be happy if he has a daughter.
My father was delighted when my mom became pregnant with me, and he had the nursery painted a neon pink for me, knowing that my mom would be happy with that.
"Babe," I say, looking up at Todd.
"Yes, my love," he replies.
"Would you be happy even if the pups are girls and not boys?" I ask him.
"As long as the pups are healthy and you are happy, I don't care what they are," he tells me while pulling me into a hug.
Alpha Samuel’s POV
Well, I got the best news today from my daughter. I am going to be a grandfather!
"Alpha Bruce," I say, looking at the other alpha who is sitting across from me in his office.
"Yes, Samuel," he replies.
"What do you think about building a house for our kids and future grandbabies?" I ask him.
"That's a great idea! Let’s get the betas on that right away so that the house is ready for them before the babies are born," he says, while picking up the phone to call his beta. After a couple of rings, he says,
"Walter, this is Bruce. Get with Alpha Samuel’s beta, Alex, and find a nice piece of land that a house can be built on for Todd and Samantha." He listens to his beta for a while. Then he hangs up the phone.
"Okay, Samuel, my beta says for us to meet him on the edge of your old territory and check out the piece of land that he picked out for the house to be built on."
"Sounds like a good idea. Let’s get the Lunas involved."
So we head into the kitchen where the Lunas are helping the omegas out with the meals.
"Sorry, ladies, but we need to take the Lunas somewhere real quick," I tell them.
"Yes, Alpha. We got the dinner handled. The Lunas are not needed in the kitchen now," one of the omegas say while bowing down to us.
"What's going on, you two?" Selene asks me.
"Alpha Bruce and I are taking you and Celeste with us to go look at the piece of property that Walter and Alex have picked out for a house to be built for Todd and Samantha."
"Oh, my God. Bruce, I hope you plan on driving because I am not walking in these shoes," states Celeste, causing Bruce to laugh.
"Don't worry, we weren't planning on walking there, anyway," I tell her.
"That's good," Celeste replies.
We all get into my car and drive to the area that Walter and Alex have staked out for the house to be built on.
We quickly notice that they had already got started on building the house with about fifty of the best warriors.
"Wow, Alex, you guys are outdoing yourself. All you say to Bruce on the phone was that you had a piece of land picked out, not that you had already started building the house!" I say.
"Well, Alpha, as you say, it was for the kids. So we decided to start building the house in case they wanted to move out of the main house," Walter tells me.
"That was a great move, Walter! I am glad that you guys thought of this ahead of time," I tell them, and look at the Lunas.
"What do you two think? Would the children like this place?" I ask the Lunas.
"Oh yes, they would love it," Selene says for both of them.
We get back in the car and head back to the main house of the pack to see that the kids are back from their afternoon walk.
Todd’s POV
Samantha and I had decided to go for another walk in the garden after we had lunch. We sit down on the bench when Samantha starts to get tired of walking.
"Samantha, dear, we should get back inside and get you to bed," I tell her, knowing that she is tired.
"I'm too tired to walk any more, love. Could you carry me back to bed?" She asks me.
I pick up my mate and carry her back inside the house to see that both of our parents have just come in the front door.
"And where have the four of you been off to?" I ask them. Were they trying to sneak around and do things for us?
"Oh, we just went for a ride," my father tells me.
“You just keep saying things like that, father."
"Babe, can't you talk after you get me up to the bedroom? And bring me chili cheese fries and chocolate syrup,” Samantha whines.
“Yes, dear," I say, hearing our parents laugh.
I carry Samantha up to our bedroom and help her get comfy in our bed before tucking her in.
"Would you like me to bring the syrup bottle separate so that you can put it on your food yourself?"
"Yes, please."
I walk out of the room to head down to the kitchen, and I see my mother smiling and holding out the fries and a bottle of syrup.
"Thanks, mom. I don't know what I would do if you were not around to help out."
My mother laughs at me. "You know, son, your father had the same problem when I was pregnant with you. He was always on the run, getting me food."
I take the food up to Samantha and hand her the plate of food and a bottle of syrup.
"Here is your food, my lady," I say, looking at her.
"Thank you. It took you long enough," she growls at me.
"I was only gone for five minutes," I chuckle.
"That's too long. You should have had my food up here two minutes ago."
"I am sorry, love," I tell her, kissing her on the forehead. "I am going back downstairs to see what our parents were up to today."
I head back downstairs and yell, "Mom and Dad, what were you and the Whites doing today? And you better tell me everything!"
"Oh, we were just getting to know each other better," my father says innocently.
“Are you telling me that the four of you just drove around to get to know one another?” I look at them angrily.
“We will tell you soon enough, son," my mother says, giving me a huge smile.
