Samantha's POV
This pregnancy is taking a toll on me. I threw my bottle of hot sauce at Todd's head because he said I am weird.
It's only been a week since I found out that I am pregnant, and only one day since we found out that I am carrying five pups.
I am getting huge, and it sucks. I hate bed rest, but it is hard for me to even get up out of bed without help. I can't wait until the pack throws the baby shower for us.
Todd and I decided that we didn't want to know the s*x of our pups this time, but Sandra told our parents, so they know what the pack needs to do to set up the baby shower and what kind of stuff they need to buy.
I didn't want to be on bed rest, but now that I can barely move out of the bed, I am glad that Sandra decided to put me on bed rest as soon as she found out that I was pregnant.
I can hear Todd working in one of the spare rooms, getting it set up for another nursery. We still haven't made a list of names that we could pick from once the pups are born, but we know they will be given a name from one of the gods or goddesses from the Greek pantheon.
"Todd," I call out while trying to sit up in bed
"Yes, my love," Todd says, running to the room.
"I want to go out to the garden and see how my tomato plants are coming along," I say.
"Okay, love," he says, picking me up bridal style and carrying me downstairs and out to the garden.
"Oh, look at my plants, they are so beautiful! Would you grab those ripe tomatoes for me?" I ask.
Todd picks the ripe tomatoes and hands them to me. "What do you want to do with those tomatoes?" He asks me.
"I'm going to eat them. What else would I do with them?" I say.
"I was hoping we could use them in a salad," Todd says.
"Well, we could do that," I say.
"Are you ready to go see how far I am coming in the new nursery?" Todd asks me.
"Yes, but let me walk. You don't need to carry me all the time," I say.
I slowly waddle to the house and get ready to walk to the elevator. "Are you coming or just going to stay outside?" I ask Todd as I get to the elevator, seeing Todd run after me.
"I am on my way! Hold up, you are going too fast for me," Todd says, trying to catch his breath.
Yes, I am pregnant, but I guess I am gaining speed and certain powers since my ancestors are the Greek gods. That is also one reason our kids will have these names.
Selene's POV
Well, we have been shopping since nine in the morning, and it is only noon.
The twins are excited that they get to go shopping for their siblings.
We are at the mall, and Samuel and Bruce have already taken three loads of shopping bags out to the cars.
So far, they got stuffed animals and bedding sets for the pups.
We are now heading into the furniture store to get the cribs for the new arrivals, and also, the twins get to pick out their big kid beds.
They are so well behaved, I am glad to be called their nana.
"Thor, did you find anything you like for your bedroom?" I ask my grandson.
"Yes, Nana, I found a bed that has my name on it. Can I get it?" He asks me.
"You can get anything you want, just tell the nice clerk what it is and they will bring it up for you," I tell him.
"Yay! I want that Thor bed-set, please," Thor tell the clerk.
"All right, I will have that put right into the truck for you. And what about you, young lady?" She asks, looking at Athena.
"Can I get that pink Athena bed, too, please?" Athena says.
Those two are the cutest when it comes to shopping. They know precisely what they want.
"Sure thing! I will have that loaded right up. What else do you need?” She asks me.
"Could we get three blue cribs and two pink cribs? My daughter is expecting, and those are the colors that we need. They are the twins' little siblings, and they are buying everything possible so that their mom and dad do not know what they will be getting," I tell the clerk
The clerk has the men at the store load up the truck with all of the bedding and furniture that would not fit in the cars.
I give them the address and tell them to wait until I call them to let them know that they can deliver the items since I need to make sure that both Todd and Samantha are out of the house.
I had called my favorite restaurant and reserved a table for two, for both Samantha and Todd.
They need to get out of the house and have some fun, even though Samantha is pregnant.
But this may be the last time that they get to get away from the house since Samantha is getting big with the pups.
Todd already says that Samantha has been throwing stuff at him.
Todd's POV
"Samantha, love, your mother reserved us dinner at the Luna Lodge Cafe, and we need to be there in two hours. Would you like me to help you get ready?" I ask her.
"Yes, please, I can't find anything cute to wear with me being this huge," she replies with a laugh.
"We don't need to get dressed up. It’s not that kind of restaurant. All we need to do is get dressed," I says
"All right, but I want to wear some nice clothes. Could you get my pink outfit out of the closet? I hope it still fits," she says.
"It should fit. It is a maternity outfit, babe," I tell her as I grab it out of the closet.
I help Samantha get dressed, and we head out to the restaurant.
Samuel's POV
"Well it looks like we bought out the whole store," I say, laughing and looking at Selene
"The twins couldn't figure out what to get for their siblings, so they bought everything they could find," Selene says.
"Is the truck ready to follow us? Todd and Samantha should be out of the house by now," I say.
"Yes, they are ready. Let us go," Selene says.
We drive to Todd and Samantha's house with the truck following us.
We pull up to the driveway, and Selene gets the twins out of the car while Bruce and I unload the car.
"Just start taking the boxes upstairs to the spare bedrooms, and I will help you set them up," I tell the men.
"Yes, Alpha. Is there any specific room that you want them in?" The mover asks.
"The one right by the master bedroom will do. You can use the elevator to take them up," I tell them, and they get to move the furniture up to the new nursery.
"Papa, look! I got the Athena bedroom set," Athena tells me.
"You did, did you?" I ask, laughing.
"Yes, I did, and Thor got the Thor bed-set," she says, giggling.
Selene's POV
We have sent Samantha and Todd out for the day so that we can finish getting the nursery done and prepared for when the pups come. Bruce is going to paint the nursery with the Greek gods that we are hoping the pups would be named after.
We would love it if they named the pups after the gods and goddesses of our heritage. Only time will tell.
We all set up the nursery, which will be so cute. I can't believe how wonderful Athena and Thor are. They are excited about welcoming their new siblings.
I can't believe that all within a year and a half, Samantha and Todd will be welcoming more members to the family, and now I will be having seven grandbabies to spoil. I can't wait.
Samantha's POV
My mother had kicked Todd and me out of the house for the day so that we wouldn't see what they are doing to the nursery. It is pretty fun, so we are just hanging out with Doctor Sandra and checking on how well the pups are doing.
I know that they are getting huge. I eat everything in sight, which is funny. Sandra is not allowing me to do anything to help her out today, and it's pissing me off, but she is worried about the pups.
"Sandra, let me at least help you fold the linens for the hospital. That isn't heavy," I say.
"No, you are not doing anything. Just relax," she tells me.
"That's all I've been doing is relaxing, and it is not fun," I say.
"Relax," Todd tells me, and I throw a pillow at him.
"Enough with throwing things, Samantha, geez," Todd says, picking up the pillow.
"Looks like the pups are angry, and it is funny," Sandra says.
"They want out," I tell her.
"It's not time. A few more weeks," Sandra says, making me growl.
"Samantha, that's not nice," Todd says.
Todd's POV
Samantha is getting angry and upset since nobody is letting her do anything. I am getting tired of her throwing things at me.
"Sandra, can I talk to you for a minute?" I ask her.
"Sure," Sandra says, heading to the kitchen.
"What is going on with Samantha?" I ask her.
"The pups are too powerful, and they are fighting her moods. They are too strong for her body, so if this keeps up, I may have to see if the two of you are okay with me inducing the labor," Sandra says.
"Will that hurt the pups?" I ask.
"No, both Samantha and the pups will be fine. I want you two to go home and talk to your parents about this," Sandra says.
"Okay doc, thank you," I say, and head back to Samantha.
"Samantha, sweetie, let’s go home. We need to talk to our parents about something," I tell her.
"Okay, let's go, I am tired," Samantha says.
We drive home and get inside, and I help Samantha to the couch.
"Mom, Dad, Samuel, and Selene, are you still here?" I call upstairs, knowing that we shouldn't go up yet.
"Yes, we are up here. Do you need us?" My mother asks.
"Yes, we do. Could you please come down?" I ask.
"Yes, we will be coming down," Selene says.
They all come downstairs and sit on the couches in the living room.
"The twins are asleep," Selene tells us.
"We have a critical decision to make," I inform them.
"Go on, son," my father says.
"Doctor Sandra says that the pups are too strong for Samantha to carry to full term. She is asking if she can induce the labor process. Both Samantha and the pups will be safe," I say.
"Samantha, this is your choice, and we will support you no matter what you decide," Samuel says.
"I think we should do this. Dad, it’s best," Samantha says.
"We should set this up for tomorrow. That way, we can welcome the pups to the family and pack," Samuel says.
"We can watch Thor and Athena for the next few days," Selene says.
"That would be great," I say. "Thank you for all your help. Can someone have the pack members ready for tomorrow?"
"I am already letting them know as we speak," my father says.
We all sit down in the kitchen to have our dinner and talk about what we are doing tomorrow.
"What time is the appointment?" Samantha asks.
"I set it for noon tomorrow so that we can welcome the pups early," I tell her.
"That works for me," Samantha says.
"The only problem with that is you can't eat breakfast in the morning," I tell her.
"What do you mean I can't have breakfast?" She asks.
"Doctor Sandra says eating beforehand can make you sick," I tell her.
"That is so not fair," Samantha says, becoming angry.
"Samantha, calm down, hun," I tell her.
"Then I am going to eat all night, so I don't care if I am hungry in the morning," Samantha says.
"Only until ten, hun., I tell her.
"What, now you are restricting when I can and cannot eat?" Samantha says, getting ready to grab the lamp to throw at me.
"Don't you dare throw that lamp, Samantha," I tell her, while Selene grabs Samantha’s arms and stops her.
"Rude," she says.
I go out of the living room to call Doctor Sandra.
"Hello Todd, what can I do for you?" Sandra says, answering the phone.
"Samantha is out of control. Can you come and give her something to make her sleep or calm down, please?" I beg her.
"I will be right over with a sleeping shot for her. What caused her to go out of control this time?" Sandra asks.
"I told her that she couldn't eat after ten pm, and she almost threw the lamp at me," I tell her.
"I will be there in five minutes," Sandra says.
I am waiting for Sandra to pull up. When she does, I hurry up and open the front door for her.
"Good evening, Alpha Samuel, Alpha Bruce, Luna Celeste, and Luna Selene," Sandra says, walking into the living room.
"Good evening." my mother says.
"Could one of you hold Samantha down for me?" Sandra asks while she gets the shot ready.
"I will hold her down," Samuel says.
"Good." Sandra walks up to Samantha and gives her the shot.
“What was that for?" Samantha asks, already feeling sleepy.
"That will help you sleep, Samantha," Sandra says, as she sees that Samantha is already sleeping.
