The Majarlican Demigod Chapter 33: Surprise, Surprise! "I would like to join your club, Phrias." Zephyra declares. The faculty room became silent and humid at the same time as my sister declared her desire to join the TNGY Club. Saphrias's glare has never been too kind to tell everyone that she's not joking about being the TNGY Club Chief. "It's not that I want to have those recommendations to achieve higher education," Zephyra said. "I want to be able to use the power given to me purposefully. Many skills are wasted, and I don't want that to happen to my skills." Saphrias looked moved by Zephyra's words as her eyes lit up a little. "Fine by me, Zephyra. Make sure that you behave like a fine lady—just like Ally." My little sister glanced at me, "Sure." Kori claps, "I'm so happy to have you here, Zephyra!" It looks like they are the only ones happy about my sister joining the club. We returned to the grove where the tents were. They added another piece of bedding for Zephyra so she could sit on the last day of training. Dinner is waiting in the dining hall. Since my sister is new, Saphrias let me join my friends and introduce my little sister to them. Zephyra looks very happy being surrounded by people who are taking notice of her. Well, it makes me glad. As her big sister, I would prefer that she's living the life she wants. Not that she's my favourite sister— my sisters are equally important in my life. After dinner, Talia and Hans, who are constantly bugging my personal space, surround my little sister. Since they look so happy talking to each other, I don't need to talk much, or I'll make the conversation about me. "But Father and his council are talking about Ally's engagement already. I think they have decided on it." Zephyra's words caught the attention of my supreme being. "Wow!" Hans looks up at the sky, "That's really nice. Do you know who they picked for her?" Zephyra shook her head. "The elders did not utter the name of the gentleman. I heard he is a fine young man of a good heart, thoughtful and all that. I bet he is boring." "That's rude, Zephyra." Talia comments, "That person will be your brother-in-law." "Hmm... You're right, Talia," Hans amends, "I can't believe that our friend is getting a fiancé herself." faking tears. "Then, get a fiancée yourself, Hans!" Zephyra suggests, "Like... Um," she looks around to see other girls, "AH!" a sign she has a brilliant idea. "How about Talia? She's from a wealthy family who's quite popular overseas. At the top of that, she's gorgeous, and her fire-commanding skill is high-tier!" Wow. She sounded like she was selling Talia like an item there. Hans looked at Talia closely, "Hmm... It's rude to say Noso. I think I'll say, I'll think about—" Talia sets fire to Hans' head, "YOU JUST SAID IT OUT LOUD, YOU MORON! NO ONE IS GOING TO MARRY YOU E-V-E-R!" Hans cried for mercy, so Zephyra poured out water on his head. "Wow, another water commander," Hans said in amazement. "I'm curious. How come your cousin isn't married yet?" Talia asked. "The heiress's marriage must come first before the others, royal family law," Zephyra remembered her lesson. "Must be hard for the older members, huh," Hans comments. "That's actually nonsense. That code should not be followed any longer," I suggest. "Tell it to Rupert. He sure can declare a decree for that!" Hans laughed. "Hi, guys! I heard my name." Rupert appeared behind Hans. Zephyra stood up and bowed to the prince. "Your Royal Highness, a wonderful chance to meet you!" she said. "You're Ally's sister, right?" Rupert smiled at her "I'm glad you remembered! My name is Zephyra of the West's first district, the second daughter." Rupert sat with us, "Welcome to Centralia, Lady Zephyra!" "Thank you, your highness!" Zephyra responds, "You can call me Zephyra instead." "Ok. It's Rupert, then." "Anyway, we were talking about the marriage of throne heirs and heiresses," Hans said. With that being said, has your engagement been decided?" Rupert scratched his head, "Well, it has been." I thought he would deny the news. "So the noble successors marry early. I should talk to my father about it as well." Hans comments. "Wait. Who is the other one getting married?" Rupert asked. "Althea. It was picked by our state." Zephyra answered. Hans laughed, "Don't tell me that the West and Central decided to marry their heir and heiress." No one responded to him. Deep within me, I am almost wishing it was true. "I'm taking that as a no." Hans smiled, "Off to next topic, please." I stand up and excuse myself for a moment. Instead of disappearing to the bathroom, I walked out of the field. Walking to the distant bathroom is sure like a tour. Other people walk past our maestros, but the kids don't see them. At this moment, I must pretend I didn't see them either. The maestros are heading to the dodgeball pitch. Instead of the maestros going to their tent, they went to the room under the bleachers. That door glows! I ran to it right away. It's kind of far away from the gate. Right when I was able to reach the door, someone pulled my clothes right at the neck. "You are not allowed to be here, Althea." Brighton is sticking his nose again. I turned from his face and started walking away. "You're too adventurous, young lady," he nags. Brighton is following me. I paused and turned around, "Stop nagging me, will you?" I whispered angrily. "There's no need for you to shout." He said calmly. "I'm not shouting!" "Ally!" Someone shouts from above. Brighton looks at my sister, who is looking down here. Their surprised expression isn't pretty at all. "Why is your sister here?" Brighton asked. "Ask our father." "One demigod is already a handful! Guardian 1166 has lost his high intelligence, really." He blabbered, then touched the wall that showed us what was behind it. I can see Saphrias and other maestros in there. The room is dark, and there's a blue light that lights up the room. "Those are the strings tied to us earlier," Brighton explained. The strings that blink mean that the person is using his power. Everyone's strings were blinking, so we were safe. Now, if everybody goes to sleep and we're still using our powers, maestros, we will know it." "That's not good." Brighton smirked, "You need to be more careful. This is not the best time to take on an escapade." In annoyance, I disappeared from him and reappeared where I left Hans and Talia. The two of them looked surprised when I arrived. "What's with that expression?" I asked them. Rupert cleared his throat, "I think I should return to the tent. Please excuse me." Talia and Hans stand up. "Ah, Ally, can I borrow Brye for a moment?" Hans asks. Brye? I turned around and saw Brighton standing behind me, "Just how long have you been there?' Brighton taps my head before he walks to Hans and leaves Talia and me. "ATTENTION, YOUNGSTERS! PLEASE GO TO YOUR RESPECTIVE TENTS NOW!" Vice Chief announced. •••>>>0(To Be Continued)
