“The maids that were present said he wasn’t executed, Alpha Zeus called it off for some reason after Baldwin said something they couldn’t hear.” Elara whispered to me in the kitchen.
We were getting ready to round up for the night and I was surprised to hear that Baldwin wasn’t executed. I had a lot of chores to attend to so I couldn’t make it for the unexpected execution but a lot of things seemed to have happened.
“And?” I leaned in closer towards her and asked, another maid was in the kitchen with us and I didn’t want her to overhear our conversation, “I heard they found some money that went missing from the treasury.”
Elara eyes widened and she pulled me even closer to her, “you won’t believe whose room it was found in.”
