Amber’s POV.
“I’m Louise,” she said softly. When she saw the confused expression on my face, she added with a smile, “I’m the Alpha's healer.”
“Uhmmm…it’s nice to meet you,” I replied because I literally couldn’t think of anything else to say.
When I glanced back at Rose, she didn’t seem at all interested in the conversation I was having with the healer.
“I guess you’re busy right now, but I would like to have a word with you some other time,” Louise smiled at me broadly.
“Did I do something wrong?” I asked.
“Of course not.” She tapped my arm and walked away before I could say anything.
Rose and I got to work immediately after I recovered from the unexpected conversation with the healer.
