"We need to make an example out of that man," Argus said as we all headed towards the hall where the other elders had gathered to discuss the punishment for the maid and her lover who had tried to kill me with an arrow.
"Well done, Jonathan. I've always admired your skills." Argus said to Jonathan, who was on my right-hand side.
"It wasn't that difficult. Many of the servants had felt the tension between those two," Jonathan replied, his gaze drifting from Argus and it landed on me.
"What are you going to do about them?" He asked.
"No one attempts to kill me and gets away with it. You'll find out soon enough."
