Emeka was brought up in a very strict Catholic family. It was just expected that they would always go to church every Sunday and that they would uphold the Catholic faith as his parents put it. Emeka never bothered to rebel against religion like many of his friends did. For some reason he couldn't quite subject himself to his parent's disappointment. Emeka and his dad who happens to be the sole financier in his football career never really had that father and son relationship, and the only time they get to sit down and talk is when it concerns football. his father was never interested in his academic achievement and this was eating deep into Emeka's development and unfortunately, no one was able to detect the problem and come to Emeka's rescue and to make matters worse, his parents never cared about the kind of friends Emeka was hanging around with. As a young and talented footballer that Emeka is, he had very few friends who were into football, majority of his friends are cultists even at their tender age, but it was always a mission impossible trying to convince Emeka to become one of them.Emeka was only dedicated to football.
