I can’t believe this, my mate is as strong as me. I was hoping for a petite caring mate that would submit and try to put herself in harms way. I heard how some Luna’s that have fought and it was always a distraction to their mate’s in battle and had caused both to be hurt or sometimes killed. I swore to myself to never allow that to happen. “Damon, what do you think? I ask my wolf as I pace in dad’s office.

“I’m not sure, she can hold her own extremely well. I did talk to Karina and she is a force to be reckoned with, and is extremely powerful. We felt the power from her, and it got worse the longer we fought. I wouldn’t mind having a strong mate at all. Let’s wait and talk to dad”, he tells me after thinking about it for awhile.

Dad walks in after awhile, and just looks at me shaking his. We sit in silence for a few minutes until we hear the door open and elder Xander walks into the office holding a very large file.

“Good, I was hoping you both would be here for this meeting. I have finally received word form the main council. This File is what they sent me, asking me to delete the information from my computer, as it can be dangerous in the wrong hands. I have not gone though much of it as I figured you both would like the information and like to do with it afterward”. Xander says as he hands dad the file.

“Dad, you have been looking into her? Why? Her wolf is unique, and especially strong for a she-wolf, but why go to the council for information about her.” I looked at my dad and Xander trying to make sense of things.

“son, have a seat and listen. Lyns turned at age 10, it was a painless fast change, extremely rare. Her wolf Karina, as you saw is very unique in color, and as you know most new wolves can be very jumpy and anxious. She was calm and quiet, just layed on the floor listening to us, no growling or whimpering at all. We all decided to keep it all a secret and make sure she was safe. She has taken most of the elite, as well as myself, down while sparing, in both forms, she is extremely strong as well as intelligent. She will make you an excellent Luna, in all ways. Don’t expect her to submit to you because she won’t, she is your equal in every way possible, she will match your temper, and that’s the end of it. I have sent for Dean and Cary, her parents and we will go over the file together”. Dad gives me the look that we are done talking about her being my mate.

I just look between my dad and Elder Xander, I have no clue what to think about this. Dad is completely okay about her being my equal and possibly being in a fight and protecting our pack. Dad gets up and goes to the file cabinet and brings me a file with her name.

Handing me the file he says “Read over her file. I have collected all her information over the years, her grades, extra curricular activities that she has volunteered with, she also helps out at the daycare with pups and at the hospital when she can. She has even been asked to help your mother with some planning for gatherings and celebrations at times. She has exceeded at everything. She even aced her classes in battle planning and strategy that we offer our elites, best I have ever seen, same with the tracker courses. Oh, and she doesn’t respond to an alpha command, Just so you know in case you plan on trying”. He goes quit and gets a mind link, “Dean and Cary are on their way, they are bringing Lyns and Jared with them. Why don’t you get ahold of Brett and Steve that way we can all go over this once and decide what to do after that.”

I send them a mind link asking them to join us in dad’s office, then I open her file and start reading it. There are some pictures of her in both human and wolf form, blood tests, right down to her speed. She is perfect in every way. Dad is right, extremely smart, strong and talented in so many areas. No faults at all, just my ego getting in the way. “I want mate as she is, I can’t make her submit after all this, but I will still be protective of her. What about you?’ I agree, we were wrong and we will make sure she knows it. She is absolutely incredible’.

Brett and Steve come in asking me about what’s going on, “Just sit and wait, Dad and Elder Xander have a lot to go over with us. We are waiting for Dean, Cary, Jared and Lyndsey to get here’. They shake their heads and sit next to me on one of dad’s large couches in the office.

We all make small talk about little things when I start to smell her before they get to the office. Damon starts to pace in my head and I know the feeling. We are both anxious to see her again and telling her we will accept them as they are, and admitting that we were wrong to try and make her submit.
