Chapter 2 - John

Ruby POV

*A couple of hours later*

I heard the front door open and voices from Ryan and his friends. “Hi, Ryan” I yelled at him “Where are you?” he yelled back, “At the pool, why?”. I saw him coming out to the pool with his friends, I saw his friends looking at me, which Ryan wasn’t so happy about “Go inside and take some clothes on” said Ryan through gritted teeth. “Why?” I asked with an innocent look on my face, “Because I said so, and I’m in charged since dad isn’t home” he answered with a smug look mixed with anger. When I didn’t move, he gave me “that” look that makes me do as he says, so I hurried inside and changed clothes. I took some shorts and a t-shirt on, and don’t worry I’m not a VSCO girl. I went outside again to take my phone, but when I came out, I saw that they were in the pool. I just rolled my eyes and took my phone, I decided to just sit and scroll through Tik Tok.

When the time was about 6.30 pm, my brother asked, “Will you order some pizza, Ruby” “No!” I just answered he can do it himself. My phone started to ring, and when I looked down, I saw my friend was calling me.

“Hey” she said as soon I picked it up.

“Hey, what’s up?”

“Nothing much, I just wanted to ask if you join the beach”

“Sure, who is going to be there?”

“Oh, just the guys, Emily and us”

“Okay, I’m coming!”

“Great see you soon, love u”

“Love u too”

I could feel some eyes burn holes in me, and when I looked up, I saw Ryan. “Who was that?” he questioned with a very stern look, “Chill, it was Sarah” I said, “I’m joining them at the beach, so see you later” as I stood up, but he was faster and took my wrist. “Who’s gonna be there?”

“Sarah, Emily, the guys and me”

“You are not going”

“Please, pretty pretty please, please” *Puppy eyes*

“Okay, just be home by 11 pm, and no kissing or s*x!” he said with a stern look

“Thank you, and I promise” I said and kissed him on the cheek, after that I hurried up to my bathroom and took a quick shower. When I was done, I took the car keys and went out to my BMW which was in the garage.

I drove over to the beach, where I saw Emily and Sarah was waiting. When I came, I saw that “The guys” was Tyler, Chad and Josh. My guy best friends, and Tyler was the football guy, Chad was the basketball guy, while Josh was the Tik Tok boy. But they were all fun to hang out with. As soon as I was out of the car, I was attacked by them in a big hug.

“Hello to you guys too” I said giggling and hugged them back, and they laughed.

*Now it’s 10 pm*

“Guys I’m gonna go a bit, I need to stretch my legs” I said to the others, they all nodded their heads, “Be save” Tyler said, and I nodded my head. Then I stood up and went for a little walk at the beach. After 5 minutes of walking, I saw something that looked like a party. So, I went over there to see it was indeed a party,” Hey, beautiful” I heard a voice from behind me, and it was a guy “Hey” I just answered.

 “What’s your name, gorgeous” he asked

“Ruby, what about you?”

“John” he said as he winked at me, I just rolled my eyes even though he’s pretty hot. He had brown hair, blue eyes and a leather jacket, he looked a little older but had this bad guy vibe. “What’s your number, princess?” he suddenly asked, “That’s something I don’t say to strangers” I answered with an attitude. After I said that he just smirked, and leant in to my ear and whispered, “I won’t be a stranger for long”. I pushed him away and went to walk away but before I could he grabbed my wrist and turned me around. He was getting closer and closer to me, and his lips were almost on mine. But before he could kiss me, I pushed him away and ran away, and back to my friends.
