Chapter 3 - Getting tickled

POV Ruby

“I’m gonna go home now, bye” I said to my friends, and hurried over to my car. As soon as I got into my car, I took the seatbelt on, and started the car. When I was in the garage, I was still a bit confused about John, but when I opened the door, I saw my brother waiting for me. But I just ignored him and walked up into my room, and when I closed it, I heard a knock on the door, “Come in” I said, and Ryan came into my room and his eyes looked a bit angry but mostly concerned.

“What is it?” I asked him

“Why did you ignore me? And why do you look sad and confused?”

“Oh, I was just lost in my own world. I’m not sad or confused, I’m just tired” I lied with a smile. He didn’t look like he believed me, but he just nodded “Goodnight, sweet dreams” He said, “You too” I simply answered. Then he left my room, and I changed my clothes into a loose shirt and some shorts. Then I brushed my teeth and did my skincare and went to bed.

*Next day*

I woke up at 10 am and took a shower. After that I went downstairs to make breakfast to me and Ryan. But when I got downstairs, I saw that Ryan’s friends were there playing games, “Do you all want breakfast?” I asked them. “YEAH!” They all yelled from the gaming room. Oh… and the guys are Mark, Liam, James and Noah. Then I started cooking breakfast, today it was eggs, bacon and pancakes yummy. I also made smoothie, “Guys there’s food now” I yelled, and short after I heard them come running down the stairs, and as soon they were there they started to eat. I sat down beside my brother and started eating, and my brother looked at me like he was searching for something, “Are you sure you are okay?” I suddenly asked and all eyes were on me, when he asked that I choked a bit on my food, “Yeah why shouldn’t I be?” I shrugged. They all looked at me with a questioning look, and I knew they could see I was lying, cause my eyes always give it away that I’m lying, and they are all like my brothers. “It seems like she won’t tell us what it is” Mark said, and they all smirked, and I knew what they were thinking. So, I hurried up and ran away from them, and they all (Also Ryan) chased me which wasn’t fair cause they are all faster than me and stronger. But I was smarter than them, and I had a which was to run outside and crawl up in a tree, where my old treehouse was and crawl in to it because I knew they couldn’t reach me in there. But before I could reach the door, I was on the floor with the guys holding me down, and they started to tickle me. I couldn’t do anything, because the held my arms and legs down, and they were 5 and I was alone. I laughed so much that tears streamed down my face, and my stomach hurt, “If you don’t say it, we are gonna continue” Noah said. “Ok…okay…I’ll…tell you” I said out between the laughs, and they stopped and smirked because they won. They stopped holding me down and removed themselves from my body. After that Ryan helped me up, “I will just clean myself up, before we talk” I lied and hurried up the stairs to my room, I lied because I really don’t want to talk about it. But they already knew that I was lying, and they followed me up to my room, and before I could close the door, they opened it again. I rolled my eyes and removed the tears and brushed my hair. When I was done, I turned around to see Liam and James wait for me. When we got downstairs, all the guys sat in the couch. “Can we please not talk about this?” I questioned with pleading puppy eyes. “No, we’ve to talk about this so we can help you, because you are obviously going through something” Ryan said with a stern voice and eyes. I gave up at that time, I can’t hide it from them. “Ok” I said with a low voice. I sat down in the chair in front of the couch. “Yesterday when I was at the beach with Sarah, Emily, Chad, Tyler and Josh, I went for a walk alone to stre” I said until Ryan interrupted me and said “You walked ALONE in the DARK, do you seriously not hear what I say to you, and when I warn you about everything?”, “Yes I do, but I needed to think and stretch my legs, and I didn’t walk far away from them” I answered. When I looked up at the guys, they didn’t seem happy, and did I forget to say that the guys are also very protective of me, “Should I continue?” “Yes!” they all said. “As I was walking, I saw something that looked like a party, so I walked over there. When I was over there, I suddenly heard a voice behind me, I turned around to see this guy. He was really flirty and kinda creepy, and then he asked me for my number, but I said no because he’s a stranger. But then he leaned in and whispered, “I won’t be a stranger for long” and it sounded really creepy. After he said that I pushed him away and ran back to my friends. But all the way back I felt like I was followed, but when I looked back there wasn’t anyone there. As soon as I came back to the others, I drove home but the feeling of being followed never stopped, even when I was back home. Since that I’ve been kinda freaked out.” I told them while looking down at my lap. When I was done, I could feel their eyes burn holes in me, so I looked up at them, and boy they looked mad. “Don’t worry okay, we’ll protect you” Ryan said when he cooled down a bit.
