The next day, Joffiel woke up early again to prepare for her work. She wakes up early as if she has this kind of body clock where she wakes up early in the morning. She thinks that this is a good thing for her, it will be helpful for her work since she needs to walk early to go to work.
As soon as Joffiel woke up, she first checked her cell phone to see if there were some important messages. She saw some messages from her workmate, but it was nothing important.
Joffiel quickly does her morning routine to prepare for work.
"What a wonderful day! I will go to work again!" Joffiel excitedly said to herself with her fists up in the air.
After preparing herself, she then went to the company. It was a normal morning for her, everything seemed usual as she walked her way to the company. She loves to walk when going to work but it is quite a hassle for her. When she arrived at the company she saw the guard and greeted him good morning.
She entered the building and took an elevator and went straight to her office. When she entered the office, she was the earliest one on her team. She was the first to arrive in their office.
Joffiel started reading their next programs and projects so that she can finish her work for the day early. Joffiel always wanted to do her task on time. She does not want to have backlogs of her work as this may affect her true task and she does not want that to happen.
While reading the documents for the project, Joffiel realized that they had to find a place where they could have a gadget exhibit to entice people, especially with the introduction of their company's new product. Knowing that she has to do something, Joffiel thought of a way to make the exhibit look convincing to the customers.
Joffiel saw Shane walking towards her and gave her a big smile.
"Good morning, Joffiel!” Shane greeted Joffiel. “Looking good today! You are always starting your work as early as you can. Interesting. So how’s work? I can see that you are very comfortable in the company now, good for you!" Shane added
Joffiel smiled at her. She knew that Shane and their boss are alway there to monitor all of her performances on her work.
I just don't want to waste the opportunity given to me, I need to make things as smooth as possible. She thought to herself.
"We have a new task for this week. The deadline is next week so we have to work hard on this project. I have already thought of some ways to do this project," Joffiel explained. "By the way, good morning to you too!"
"Oh, I didn't expect that they would give you this task. I thought someone who has worked longer and with more experience than you will be given the task. I assume It will be too hard for you since you have just started your job. But since it is given to you, you don't have to worry, I will assist you as much as I can," Shane assured Joffiel.
"Is that so? I will try to figure it out by myself first before I ask for your help. I do not want to always rely to someone to finish the job assigned to me. Although I know you will be a big help to us,” Joffiel said. “But for now, maybe you can help me find a place where there are a lot of people?" she added.
She already had an idea on how to work on this project. Even though her work is not for marketing, she wants to have a deeper understanding of this job's function.
"Sure thing! If you have time this coming weekend, I can accompany you to the nearest public places such as school, markets or any places that can help you with your project," Shane answered with excitement.
They two continued to chat with each other until Drew knocked on the door. Shane immediately opened the door and greeted Drew. “Oh, hey! It is Drew!” Shane said and looked back at Joffiel. “So what’s up, Drew? Is there something we can help you with?” Shane asked Drew.
"Hi Shane, I came to tell Joffiel that Sir Fenril wants to talk to her about the new program,” Drew said.
“She is right there, come on in,” Shane replied.
“Joffiel. Let's go now Sir Fenril is looking for you," Drew said. He looked at Shane and he added, "Come with us, Shane. You also need to know their conversions so that you can easily help Joffiel."
"This is weird, huh? I think Sir Fenril will give Joffiel advice which is unusual for new employees," Shane mumbled.
"Maybe he's just tired because he keeps on hiring different people for this position. I hope that you, Joffiel, will break this sequence," Drew said, full of hope.
Joffiel does not feel any pressure since it's not good for an angel to have negative thoughts and actions. She stayed calm and quiet. She knows what she is doing.
While going to the elevator, she saw someone that had a different light. It is a sign that this person will die. This is one of the things Joffiel can help to change what is destined to every person.
She saw something strange in the light above that person so she immediately approached to save him.
People gasped when the light suddenly exploded and a power cord fell on the man's desk. Joffiel was on time to save the person's life. She was very thankful to see the light suddenly turn to green color.
"Thank you for saving me. I owe you this one," the man said while crying.
Joffiel comforted him. The other employees moved out just to make sure that everyone is safe. Drew immediately went there to check them out.
The head in charge of this area had no choice, so the employees that were affected went home. The man she saved was brought to the hospital due to trauma.
"How did you know that the light would explode?" Shane asked.
"Didn't you guys notice that it was blinking weirdly? There was an ignition so I pulled him," Joffiel explained.
"That's why. You are very observant. Sir Fenril will definitely like you," Shane said.
Joffiel just ignored what Shane had said. They went straight to Fenril's office because he is still waiting for them to arrive.
"We're sorry for being late, Sir Fenril. Something came up. There was an accident lately and we helped the employees to get out of the area," Drew explained.
"Fortunately, Joffiel saw the light's ignition so the employee's life was saved," Shane added.
These two are really making their way to give a positive impression about me. Are they also getting a tiry day hiring a new director? Well, I will definitely do my best to be suitable for this job. Joffiel thought to herself. She feels somewhat lucky because these two are uplifting her.
"That's another good sign for us that we got a perfect new employee for the director's position. Having a director who has eyes and cares on her team is a good leader," Fenril said.
Joffiel saw the reliefs on Drew and Shane's eyes. She is also happy that her boss is starting to praise her.
Fenril discussed the details of the new products to help Joffiel understand how to use and avail it. As Joffiel's assistant, Shane took down notes for very important details that Fenril will discuss.
"After reading the papers I had sent to you earlier and upon hearing my discussions, do you have any ideas where the program would be held?" Fenril asked.
Ashe smirked at Joffiel and Joffiel saw it. She understands that Ashe does not trust her much.
She politely smiled at them. She answered, "Of course, Sir Fenril. I and Shane already discussed where to find places with a high population, such as schools and public markets. But definitely, the students and the teachers are the best target of this program since we are offering our cheapest devices or gadgets. It will definitely help them with their studies, especially doing research projects."
After Joffiel explained her thoughts, the three, except Ashe, were amazed by her idea. By just an hour, Joffiel already came up with this idea which made Fenril more interested with Joffiel.
"That's too common, Miss Joffiel. Some of the students do not have enough budget for that. How are we going to get high sales?" Ashe interfered.
"Oh common, Ashe. She is just new and I know that she will improve day by day. Don't be so negative!" Drew defended Joffiel.
"Well, this is just my idea. Still, Sir Fenril will be the one to decide on our final move. I just thought of helping students to have these kinds of gadgets. We can simply let them pay the gadgets monthly if they are not capable of one payment only. Just my thoughts," Joffiel added.
Whatever happens, I will keep myself positive all the time. My challenges here are just starting. I have to accept it all with my heart.
