Blurb

She is sent off to a bitter haven as a sacrifice, and she certainly did not expect these monsters to fall obsessively in love with her.Mira Flitcher is an odourless omega wolf, an insignificant virgin who gets transported to the Kingdom of Black Moon. Her destiny awaits King Daemon Blackwood—a king who is as remarkable for his appearance as for his brutality. His eyes remind one of the darkness of the forest, and his smile can s***h through like a sword. Daemon doesn’t crave peace; he wants to shatter her.To torture his victim, Daemon sends Mira to the deepest dungeon, to the Beast’s den. However, the wild animal doesn’t rip her to pieces. On the contrary, the Beast crawls to Mira, whining in brutish, fervent devotion.Mira is suddenly the prize in a deadly game of possession, and the two damaged siblings want her in different ways: one in cold possession, the other in a raw, devouring love. But in the court where poison and ancient witches abound, desire is the shortest path to death. When Mira is made to look like a woman of loose morals by a well-constructed lie, and this changes Daemon’s possessive lust to fury, he commits the ultimate sin that he goes against his destined mate by taking Mira to the edge of the Wildlands and abandoning her in a blizzard, unaware that she is carrying his child.Daemon believes she died in the snow, and can't forgive himself. He goes mad for her and can't move on. Rescued by a rival Alpha who is loyal to her alone, Mira has survived the cold. She is coming back to Black Moon. Not to heal them, but to watch them bleed. Winter is coming, and there is more at stake than just the Beast.

CHAPTER 1: CHOOSING THE LUNA
“Bring her to me!” A loud thunderous voice called out. People started to scream and panic rose everywhere. Mira immediately rose from her bed she had been sleeping a few moments ago. She recognised the voice. It was the Alpha king. He wasn't supposed to be there. “Who made him angry? And who was he looking for?” These thoughts rang in her head and she swallowed her spit down her dry throat, heading right for the door. Her mind told her it was a bad idea but it was better to come out and pay her respect to the Alpha king than risk him breaking down her door and having a grievance against her. “Where is she?” A different voice asked. Mira opened the door and her heart skipped a beat. The Alpha's guards who were also his betas were moving into the apartment, searching room by room. One came forward to her and she quickly moved, bowing her head to give him access. The man walked into her room, her heart beating. He made a few more steps and she heard scuffling then he withdrew to her and his eyes scanned her one last time before walking out. “She's not there,” he said to another beta. But then, Mira heard it. A scream. A girl yelling for her life. “Aaah! No please. I don't want this. Leave me alone! Someone help! Help me!” She was dragged, both her hands held by two men, taking her out of the house. Mira followed, scared but she wanted to know the poor girl's fate. A thud followed as the girl was thrown to the floor, her knees scraping the ice-cold floor. She was shivering as the snow fell. Mira looked up and saw the Alpha out of the horse. He was a tall man, his eyes cold and a deep shade of green. His hair is full, wavy, and stops at his shoulders. He took only a step, his chiselled face and tanned skin matching perfectly with the navy blue coat on his body. His eyes went downward and he spoke, his deep voice sending a quick shudder to everyone's skin. “Raise your head.” That was a command. The young lady lifted her head, shaking and gulped. “A…alpha,” she stuttered. “What's your name?” He asked. “Mia, my lord,” she answered. “Did you just refuse to come to me?” The Alpha's voice lowered. It was cold and Mira could sense the warning in it. Mia shook her head, crying. “No, Alpha.” “Then why did you resist?” He asked. Mira felt pity for her. “My lord,” the shivering lady began. “I…I wouldn't dare refuse to be with you. But I am human. I have no wolf. I would be an insult to your…” “Silence!” The Alpha's voice roared. Mira shook again and so did Mia. By now, everyone in the house had stepped out cowering with their heads low. He crouched down to his knees and lifted Mia's face with his fingers, staring into her eyes. “You're coming with me.” He dropped her face so quickly, she fell over to her side. She scrambled to get up and Mira saw her tears fall down her face. “Get up,” The Alpha ordered. Mia rose to her feet, shaking. Mia turned to look at Mira, her face pale and her lips trembled. Mira knew her fate. If Mia went with him then she was as good as dead. A human in the wild pack such as The Black Moon's pack of the Alpha king was never an option, not even for a weak omega like Mira. Mira knew she had to do something so she stepped forward and raised her chin. “My lord,” she spoke loudly. He paused, turned and looked at Mira. Her heart pounded wildly in her chest and she kept gulping. “Yes,” He responded. She bowed, then slowly raised her head. “May I go in her place?” He looked intrigued. “You wish to trade places with her?” Mira's eyes darted to Mia and then she answered. “Yes, my lord. I will go in her place.” He didn't speak, instead, he watched her. Mira didn't back down. “She can't survive the trip, my lord. She's sick but I can.” “And what makes you think I will agree?” Mira breathed slowly. This was her chance. If she made a mistake then she would lose her life. “She's a human. And we have a peace treaty with the humans. She was given to this pack as an offering and she's the niece of the king of the north. If she dies, it will be a war for us.” He took a step forward, then another until he was standing before her. “And you think I am scared?” Mira felt her head pound. “Not at all. But the humans have witches and we won't want them to turn against us.” He stayed silent then nodded. “Very well. I accept the exchange.” Mia sighed in relief and the Alpha waved his hand. She ran into the house when she saw it and he leaned in, sniffing me. “Are you sure you are a wolf?” He asked. “You have no scent.” “I'm an omega,” Mira replied. “That changes nothing. All wolves have a scent. Do you even have a wolf?” Mira nodded, but his gaze didn't show that he believed her. He studied her and then signalled to the guards. He was back on his horse and someone nudged Mira on her shoulder. She groaned lightly then fell on her knees. “Your name?” He asked. “Mira Flitcher, my lord.” “Hmm.” He looked at the guard at his right and gave a slight nod. “Get up!” The guard yelled and she stood up. She did as she was told and was pushed into the carriage, the door slamming shut. Mira breathed out in the dark space, hearing the wheels ride away as the horses moved. It was hours before the carriage stopped and the door opened. She stepped out, walking behind the Alpha king as he stepped into the front porch of the large pack house. The large front doors were opened the second he stepped his feet close to them and they strolled in. He stopped and she bumped into him. Her heart skipped a beat as she dreaded the moment. “Fool,” he said in a low voice. He turned towards her, his face giving way to a cold, wicked smirk. “A scentless Omega, hmm?” She shook, pinching her fingers as she waited for his orders. It came but it wasn't what she expected. “Take her to the dungeons,” his voice dropped and she instantly looked up. “Let's see if you're tasty enough for him.” Mira's heart shuddered. “W…what?!”
