Prologue
Prologue
There was nothing more violent than finding yourself unable to accomplish the things you had fought for long ago. It's not easy to forget them when it happens to us. We should have expected to fall into the pit of oblivion even though we had done so much for our people. We think we can control these things but in reality they control us. We only have the choice to make do, while some think we have abandoned them to the truth, we have been excluded. Every day we say that it is just a dream and that one day we will wake up.
I so wish that was the case for me. However, we have to get used to it because we are not masters of our destiny. Things happen without our being able to control them. We just have to embrace our destiny. The power is not ours, while we fight for years for something that is not ours.
Her name is Alanah Ammer. She just turned 18. She is the only daughter of King Ammer. However, it's not really joy, there are some expectations that are high to say the least. Every title has its advantages and disadvantages. No matter how hard she fights for her fingers, it always stays the same. Her father doesn't respect her, nor do her older brothers. She is always told what to do, no one asks her opinion. She is like a toy used for money, to say it is always the same when it comes to these subjects. They always have an expectation of her that unfortunately she cannot fulfill. A soulless slave without any words. Yes, that’s what it is, the truth is however hard to accept. But this is what she has endured for 18 years of her life now. While everyone has expectations of her, she is suffering inside her heart. However, she always thinks about her obligations and her subjects. Ensure that they have the best living conditions. Is there really any point in going to such lengths for people who in truth don't love us that much? Let’s think about it for real. Truly there is no worse feeling than being rejected by someone you love so much.
Do we really have the capacity to defend ourselves? No, we don't have it, but we can get it.
“In war as in war”.
