The Day Fear Lost

April POV : My name is April Aria . I am the CEO AA group of companies. I am one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the city , being the most powerful person in the company comes with both perks and stress . I can still remember the days , the struggle, all the sleepless nights to build the company up . I am still working hard since my purpose is still not achieved. Sometimes, I am exhausted and feel like what's the point of all these . But then I remember the sufferings of not doing anything. I have been there too. It's easier to suffer and struggle doing something hard and meaningful than doing nothing and wondering why I am not feeling right . But it's easier said than done . I have been sitting behind the desk for hours and some days I can't sit for a second, have to attend meetings after meeting, not complaining though . I love my job .In fact, I have always wanted to do something like that . Now that I am signing the papers and hearing all the summaries and checking the papers, I can see Mr James , my Secretary staring at his watch . I know why .It's almost ten and he has to be home for his children who are visiting from another country. He will be picking them up from the airport. "You didn't have to stay this longer Mr. James , I would have managed myself. Now , no waiting. You have got to go . I can manage myself ", I told the middle aged man . He smiled softly and said , "Ok , it's the last file anyway . You should also head home ." "I will just finish this and go home . Don't worry ", I assured him . He took the already signed file from me and left my cabin. After he left, I straightened myself on the chair and looked outside through the glass wall of the office building. There were high buildings with bright lights . They were shiny but looked so deserted. " Just like my life", I thought to myself. Taking another file of tomorrow 's meeting, I started going through it . With my coffee on the side of the desk , I immersed myself in the words of the feeling . Tomorrow 's meeting is about the employees and their projects . We have to take some new initiatives and announce the completion of some projects. Hopefully tomorrow will go as planned. After closing and keeping the file in its place . I got up and took my bag from the sofa on the corner of the office and headed for the parking lot. I grabbed my keys and ignited the engine of the car and headed home .
