Guests and spells

Danny wakes up the next morning ready to go practice her magic. "Hi dad, what's for breakfast," she asks bouncing down the stairs. "A true English breakfast, muffins, eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms and toast. Come get some." Jackson says pouring coffee for each of them and adding sugar and milk. "Nice. I'm gonna work up an appetite today. That's for sure. By the way, did the Alpha show you where the magic spot is?" Danny asks sitting down. "I'll show you after breakfast." Jackson said. Danny can see he's mindlinking. She eats while she waits. "Okay Alpha mindlinked the pack the stay away from the area. He says that you should let me know every time you want to go practice so he can keep people away from there." He says but Danny notice he isn't saying anything. "Dad..." Danny begins slowly. "What exactly did he say?" "He forgot to close the mindlink when he told me he was going to tell the group." Jackson says. Danny looks at him. "He doesn't want his warriors turned to mice." Danny starts laughing. "That would be a sight to see." She laughs sending him a visual. Not even a second later he is laughing too. "Anyway, Melissa is buying the tickets today, so Jaime will let me know when they board so I can go fetch them." "Okay honey. Let me know when to expect them." They eat in silence and then walk out. They get to a clearing, but Danny sees nothing but flowers. "Here we are." "Great." Danny says. Thinking she would have to conjure what she needed. Looking around, she steps into the barrier and almost trips over a table. Jackson also walks in. "Why tell the warriors to stay away if they won't see me?" "Well you can see them and imagine they see you coming here and the next minute, you and your scent disappear." Jackson says. "The Alpha's friend did well. Although a bit much hopefully he doesn't notice it." "I don't think he would even come here." Danny says looking around. There is a small workshop a table outside and a big open area. She walks into the workshop seeing books and ingredients as well as a bit black pot just waiting for a fire to be made in it and it has plumbing. "This is great. I should be able to get whatever I need. There are also spell books that I can use to learn spell I haven't tried before." "I have to get to training. You need anything?" Jackson asks. "No, thanks dad. I'll see you at lunch." Danny says opening a book and walking out. The first one is conjuring. She starts conjuring dummy's and bring them to life. This is great. Next she starts levitating everything putting them where they should be. She learns an invisibility spell and starts stretching. Then she goes for a run around the border. When she gets back she starts with physical exercise. Push ups, pull ups, sit ups all with the help of the dummy's she conjured, they then teach her some fighting techniques then more stretches. "Don't you think she could use a training buddy?" a tired female voice asks from the trees. Danny looks up but don't see anything so she starts walking back. "She heard you, i***t!" a male voice tells the female one. "So? If she wants me to join her practice she'll even see me." The female states clearly bored and looking for a plaything. Danny walks back home pretending not to hear them since she couldn't see them. Once inside, she takes a shower and get dressed. Her phone rings. "Hi, Jamie." Danny says putting on her shoes. "Heeey, girl." Jamie says stressing the hey. "We will be boarding in 10 minutes." "Awesome I'll see you in a bit then. I got your rooms ready as well." Danny says. She wants to tell her about the voices but keeps quiet in case they are still around. They talk for another 5 minutes and put down not saying goodbye since they will see each other in a few minutes anyway. She calls her dad telling him she's leaving now. "Oooh, wonder where she's headed?" The female perks up again. "Let's follow her!" "No, Anita!" The male says. "We were charged to keep an eye on her. What's a better way to do it than to follow her around?" The female now known as Anita says. The male just grunts. Danny gets into her car rolling her eyes at the voices. If anyone can sense them, it would be Jamie. She starts her car and drives to the airport. "She forgot her luggage."Anita snickers. "Or she's picking someone up." The male Danny decided to name Mike says. "We gotta get out of here." "Just a little longer." Anita says as Danny parks an hour later. She locks her car with her remote and walk in to arrivals. A few minutes later, Jamie and her parents gets to the waiting area. "Now we can leave." "Jamie! Over here!" Danny calls waving them over. They get there. "Hey, Danny. What's new?" Jamie says giving her a hug. "You won't believe me if I told you." Danny says which is usually code for I'll tell you later. "Probably not." Jamie laughs meaning tell me later. Her parents hug her and they head out to the car. "What do you think?" Danny asks while the car is being loaded. "Cute." Jamie says laughing. Her dad sits in front and Melissa at the back with Jamie. They drive home. Jackson is already there and he cooked dinner. Chicken, potato salad and rice with gravy. "Smells great, dad." Danny says. "Jamie, Melissa and Benjamin. It's good to see you again. Let me help you with the bags while Danny show the women to the rooms." Jackson says taking the lead. Danny hands him the keys as he and Benjamin heads out and takes Melissa and Jamie upstairs. She opens the door to a room decorated in green. "Melissa, this will be your and Benjamin's room. Jamie will be next door." Danny says opening the door between their and Danny's room. She decorated it in blue. "Thanks Danny." They say as the men come up the stairs putting the bags in the respective rooms. Then they all go downstairs together to eat. "So, we hear you are living in the Alpha's territory?" Benjamin asks. "Yes, they have been very kind to let us stay. I can go and train and be in my wolf form as much as I like and Danny being human can still be safe." Suddenly they hear a snort as someone try to keep in a laugh. Danny quickly smiles almost like it's her. "Sorry dad. Wrong time I know." Danny says. "What do you mean?" Melissa asks gently. "Haven't you noticed how we are very much seperate from the rest of the community?" Danny asks covering for the person who snorted not wanting anyone to investigate. She sends Jamie a not now look. "Oh. Yeah." Melissa says unsure of what to say. They finish their meal just in time for the Alpha and Luna to knock on the door. Jackson went to open the door. Melissa and Benjamin sits in the living room and Danny and Jamie do cleanup. "Watch this." Danny whispers to Jamie and they peek around the corner as the Alpha and Luna walks in. The Alpha in jeans and a gholf shirt and the luna in a black skimpy dress much shorter than is socially acceptable and 3 inch heels making her almost as tall as the Alpha. Jamie and Danny sits back trying to get their laughing under control before they head to the living room to ask if anyone would like something to drink. a while later they return to give everyone their drink of choice. Better than they gave to us. Danny thinks to herself sitting next to Jamie and Melissa on the 3 seater sofa. "So how long will you be here?" Neill asks. "Probably not longer than a week or two. We just want to help Danny and her dad settle in so it's easier on them being in a strange territory." Melissa answers trying to mask her annoyance of Luna Marietta sitting practically on Alpha Neill's lap nibbling on his ear. "Well then, please no unauthorised spells in my territory. I'm sure you would understand, Jackson." The Alpha said standing up with his Luna and leaving. After 10 minutes and Jackson checking he's out of hearing range everyone start laughing. They talk late into the night when Jackson invites Jamie's parents to lunch the next day with the explanation that he wants to speak to them without the girls before everyone goes to sleep. The next morning Danny and Jaime wakes up early. They cook blueberry pancakes and french toast and eggs and bacon. And Danny makes coffee while Jaime starts setting the table as the parents come down stairs. "Morning dad." Danny yells running over to Jackson tackling him in a hug. "Morning, sweety." Jackson laughs. "What's gotten into you?" "We got blueberry pancakes!" Danny announced. "And french toast." Jaime adds just as excitedly. "Well then. Let's dig in before Danny eats it all." Jackson jokes. "Dad you would probably eat double what I could and still have space for more." Danny laughs. Melissa shakes her head and Benjamin groans. "I also already had 3 cups of coffee if it counts." "Well..." Jaime starts and Danny shoots her a look. "Let's eat then." They start eating completely oblivious of what's going on outside the house. "Dad, Jaime and I want to go exploring today, if you don't mind going into town with just Melissa and Benjamin." "Sure. We can always still spend the afternoon together." Jackson says. "But you should have this mess cleared up before we go." "Yes sir!" Jamie and Danny says at the same time, giggling. Everyone gets ready for the day and as soon as the parents leave Jamie states. "I'm not in the mood to do this the long way." "Got a point." Danny says thinking. "Want to use magic so we can go quicker?" "Sure" Jaime replies readily. "uklidit ten nepořádek, ať to vypadá, jako bychom to nikdy neudělali." She wispers and as she snaps her fingers the whole kitchen is clean. "Now where to my lady." Jamie says in a mock bow. "Just this way." Danny replies laughing. The next moment they hear a giggle from the bushes. "Anita?" Jamie asks softly. Danny nods and they shrug. They walk to the clearing. "We're here." Danny announces. "Uhhh... Danny?" Jamie asks from outside the barrier. "There's nothing here." "Silly Jamie." Danny laughs and pull Jamie into the barrier. "Wow. Did you do this?" Jamie asks looking around. "No this is what the Alpha set up for me. No spells can get through the barrier and no one can see what's happening in here." They grab the needed ingredients from the shed and hurry back home. They scatter the rose leaves around the house and start chanting. After a few minutes they go in. "Did it work?" Jamie asks. "s**t!" Anita exclaims running out of the house. Jamie and Danny lay on the floor laughing. "I take that as a yes." Danny says after catching her breath. "The spell says communication should still work but that's it. "So if the alpha uses his alpha command it won't work?" Jamie asks. "My dad will know it's a command but it won't force him since that would take his free will. Also no shifting, spells or any special abilities as we just heard with Anita. No weapons made especially against a certain supernatural group will have those properties for example if my dad was stabbed with a silver knife it would be the same as if a human was stabbed with a silver knife. untill he leaves the house the silver won't seep into his blood." "That's so cool." Jamie says. "Yeah but if he's stabbed outside the amount of silver won't be removed from his bloodstream it would just stop seeping more." Danny continues. They have lunch and just finishes when the adults come inside. "Hi, guys. Had fun exploring?" Jackson asks immediately feeling the difference. Melissa and Benjamin doesn't since they are witches and aside from their magic doesn't have any other abilities. "Yeah, it was great. I do hope Danny would be able to make some friends here though, since we didn't see any other people around." Jamie says worriedly. "Don't worry about me. You know I can handle being on my own." Danny quickly reassures her. "I just don't want you to have to..." Jamie says quietly. Danny hugs her and they moved on to a lighter topic. The rest of summer they start a little routine since the alpha said they can stay the whole summer. They would wake up early, Melissa would make breakfast, Danny and Jamie would clean up after then Jackson goes training and the rest would spend time together, whether it was shopping, covering Danny and Jamie's books or simply redoing the entire house (manually of course since Jamie said it would be more fun that way to cover up the spell). Then Melissa would make lunch and Jackson would be back from training. The grown ups would then spend time together while Danny and Jamie go out to the clearing to train their magic and physical abilities. Then they would go back to shower and help Melissa with dinner. After which they cleaned up. And then the whole group would watch movies or play board games. Anita would be around every now and again remaining hidden but her giggles could be heard when someone did something silly. The summer flew passed and soon it is time for the guests to return home once again. "I'm gonna miss you, Jackson." Jamie says before putting her luggage in the car and hugs him. "Thanks for letting us visit. Mom even got me the stuff I need for the new school year." "No problem. I hope you guys can come back soon." Jackson replies. Melissa is next. "Don't forget those recipes I made sure they are nice and simple so you don't have to keep ordering pizza. Danny's school things are also sorted so don't worry too much okay?" Melissa says. "Safe travels, Melissa. Thanks for your help, I doubt I would have been able to get everything ready in time if it wasn't for you." Jackson says sincerely. "That's what friends are for." Melissa smiles and gets in the car. Benjamin is a quiet person. He and Jackson just shook hands and wish each other well. Jackson thanks them again and Danny starts the car after telling Jackson she would be home soon and not to worry about her. The trip to the airport is a long one since everyone is preoccupied with their own thoughts. Jamie wishes summer didn't have to end, Melissa is setting up lists in her mind of what has to be done when they het home, Benjamin is trying to stay awake, Anita is holding on for dear life since she can't show herself and ride in the car with everyone else so she's silently cursing her commander. Danny wishes the road was longer so she had more time with her friend. When they get to the airport they all hug. "Let me know how the new school is." Jamie asks. "I will and remember to let me know about the thing we spoke about." Danny reminds her in turn. "What thing?" Melissa asks. "Oh it's about the school group." Jamie says quickly. "Yeah, since I can't lead the club anymore I made a suggestion which Jamie needs to look into." Danny says stating a partial truth, Melissa knows there's a club but she thinks it's a school thing when it's not. "Call me if you need anything." Melissa says, It's the first time she put it so non specific which makes Danny wonders if she actually means anything. Danny hugs her and thanks her and then hugs Benjamin. "I'm here for you as well so don't hesitate." Benjamin says. Danny's heart swells and tears well up in her eyes as she watches her friends go through the checking. With a last wave she heads out and back to the car. She drives home and without a word hugs Jackson, missing them already. About an hour and a half later as they are eating dinner, Jamie lets them know that they landed and 25 minutes later she texts that they are home safe. The house is quiet now that the guests are gone and Jackson and Danny talk about the summer and everything she couldn't tell him whilst Melissa and Benjamin was in the house. And he would comment here and there. They spent the rest of the evening like that. Then they played a few board games again before they decide to turn in for the night. Instead of going to sleep though Danny checked that everything is ready for her last year of school and called her friends to go over everything again. It's around 10pm when Danny turns her lights off and turn around to go to sleep. Her night was quite restless since she was excited for the new year but also nervous since she didn't know how to be acting in a all werewolf school. Next door Jackson was wondering if moving here was the best choice for both of them and what all of this would mean for the two of them for the future. After a few hours he too was able to get some sleep. Anita went back to her commander to discuss most of what she had learned over the summer not wanting her commander to know how close she actually was to being caught. The new school year would most probably be an eye opener for all of them.
