- Time to go Lola. I said as soon as I found her on the balcony.
She jumped slightly in surprise, before turning around and saying softly.
- I think I would like to go back and stay with Alice. I miss my daughter. You said I could go if I wanted to.
I closed my eyes slowly, with a determined look on my face.
- No. The offer has been revoked.
I watched as her head dropped forward.
- I don't understand. She said almost inaudibly.
I reached out and grabbed her arm to turn her to face me. She didn't fight back, but looked down so I couldn't see her eyes. However, I could see the way her lips trembled and her eyelashes were stuck where tears were falling down her face.
