"Nevaeh, please come in," she said as she gestured to the seat across from her.
I looked at Avril before I walked into the room and sat down, with Avril following close behind.
"I've noticed a few things since your arrival. For example, the behavior of my chosen," she said as she sipped her tea while keeping her eyes on me.
Her eyes held mischief which caused me to be alert. She probably figured out we were mates. I didn't get any negative vibes from her though, which confused me to no bounds.
"I don't know what your implying, but-"
"I know your mates Nevaeh. It takes a blind fool to not see the way he looks at you," she said smirking.
I raised a brow at her behavior curious as to why she isn't glaring at me.
"Why are you so calm considering you are both chosens," I asked curiously.
"Oh hush, I'm happy for you. He has been looking for his mate for as long as I can remember. The only reason he went with a chosen was because our fathers forced us to..."
"Fornicate."
My head snapped towards the doorway where my gaze landed on Alejandro who was smirking while leaning against the wall. A growled slipped past my lips at the same time it left Avril's.
My wolf was not happy with his choice of words. I narrowed my gaze at Delilah while she rolled her eyes at him and glared.
"Go away Dre before she decides to tear me apart from your choice of vocabulary. She's not looking too happy," She said looking at me with amusement.
"Piss off Alejandro," Avril said irritatedly as she glared at him.
He held his hands up in surrender grinning at his mate as he backed off, "as you wish, love."
She flipped him the bird as he left then looked at the queen with a narrowed gaze.
"Did you f**k him," I asked boldly.
I raised a brow at Avril as she dramatically stood up, nearly choking on her own saliva as she doubled over in laughter.
"What the hell Nev?! Who the hell asks like that?" She wheezed as she stared at me wide eyed.
I shrugged my shoulders and continued to look at Delilah awaiting her answer.
Delilah laughed while she shook her head wiping away an imaginary tear. I looked at her as if she were crazy while a slow grin appeared on her face as she looked at me.
"Straight to the point I see," she said as she walked around the desk leaning against it.
"And to answer your question..."
"Yes we did."
We all looked to the doorway to see Axel there staring at me with a hard gaze. Delilah looked surprised by his answer and frowned. Before she could open her mouth to talk, Axel interrupted once again.
"Delilah your father has requested for you," he said before his gaze went to me.
I looked at Delilah who looked lost on the conversation. I shook my head and stood up with Avril not far behind.
"Son of a b***h," she muttered as we walked out of his office brushing past him.
I stopped by the sound of my name passing his lips, but I didn't turn around.
"Give me time;" was all he said before I continued down the halls.
*****
"Their having a ball tomorrow night to welcome us!" squealed Avril as she burst into my room.
I rolled my eyes while I picked out some clothes to go training.
"I'm not going," I said ignoring her glare.
"Yes you are and so am I."
"Nope."
She grabbed me by the shoulders forcing me to look at her glare. I stared back with a bored expression irritating her.
"You are coming whether you want to or not. I wont take no for an answer," she chastised.
"Then how about nada," I said shrugging off her hold.
She growled and stomped her foot like a child before she grabbed a pillow and threw it at me.
"Where are you going, and why are you changing into work out clothes," she said angrily as she watched me pull off my top, then slip on a black sports bra.
"Instead of focusing on measly balls like somebody I know, I'm doing something useful and going training with the warriors."
She scoffed and crossed her arms, "Fine. I'm coming with you. By the way, when did you talk to the warriors?"
"Not long ago when I was wandering the lands. I came upon them training in the fields and they said I could join them if I can handle it," I said chuckling at the memory of the arrogant men who belittled me not knowing who I was.
They were quite a sight, big and burly that radiated power. The warriors were definitely a force to be reckoned with.
"Was Alejandro with them?" she asked.
"Why? Do you miss him already," I said grinning while I wiggled my brows at her.
She rolled her eyes and pushed my face away from her when I made kissy faces. I laughed while I pulled on my Adidas shorts and slipped into some sneakers.
"Are you coming?" I asked as I pulled my hair up into a ponytail.
She slipped into her sneakers and nodded her head, "Yeah might as well."
As we made our way downstairs to leave for the training grounds we were stopped at the front door before we could leave by none other than our ignorant mates.
"Do you mind?" I asked as I gestured for them to move.
I met Axels gaze not backing down as he practically burned holes into my eyeballs.
He wasn't glaring but I could feel the weight behind his stare and the intense vibes coming off him.
Alejandro on the other hand was just staring at Avril with a narrowed gaze while she just met his gaze with a glare of her own.
"Where are you going dressed like that?" he asked with a straight face.
I looked down at my sports bra and shorts before I shook my head and pushed past him opening the door.
"You don't get to do that Alpha, we made a deal" I pointed out as I walked out of the house.
Before I could get far he grabbed my arm and spun me around to face him.
"That deal was not something we agreed on, and go put on some damn clothes," he growled out.
I ripped my arm out of his grasp and glared at him.
"Stay out of my business...Alpha," I spat.
Before I could even make a dramatic exit he grabbed me around the waist and threw me over his shoulder causing me to grunt at the impact.
"f**k," I breathed as I stabled my dizzy head.
"Put her down you fucking..."
"Love I wouldn't finish that sentence if I were you."
I looked at Avril to see her being restrained by Alejandro. He had his arms wrapped around her waist as he whispered in her ear.
She looked at me with a grin and winked as her canines extended.
Oh s**t she's going to....
"What the f**k?! You crazy ass-"
"I wouldn't finish that sentence if I were you love," she mocked as she grinned inspecting her nails while Alejandro caressed his arm that had small droplets of blood.
"You bit me!" he said exasperated.
"No, I f*****g licked you. Stop being a baby, it will heal," she said as she looked at me waiting for me to do the same.
"I will meet you there!," she called before she squeaked and ran away from her persistent mate.
"You don't even know where the training fields are," I mind linked her.
"I will figure it out," she mind linked back.
I felt my canines start to extend and pulled myself up by placing my hands flat against Axels back. But not before he jostled me on his shoulder causing me to fall against his back again.
I growled in agitation as I practically heard the smirk in his voice.
"Sorry little mate, but I'm not into biting....Unless Im the one doing it."
"You are impossible," I growled as I punched his back.
He only chuckled and walked back towards the house.
"Put me down right now Alpha, Im not kidding," I demanded.
Suddenly he hoisted me off his shoulder and pushed me against the wall next to the front door.
"Why do you insist on calling me Alpha. Your my mate," He said lowly as he pressed against me and ran his nose up my neck.
I shivered in delight but then remembered he had s*x with Delilah then felt disgusted with myself since their still an item.
I pushed against his chest and glared, catching him off guard which caused him to stumble.
"Don't f*****g touch me. We are nothing," I growled before I spun on my heel and took off running towards the training grounds.
I need to kick some ass to vent out my frustration with the incorrigible man.
Hopefully the warriors wont go easy on me.
