Chapter Four Milly tried hard to not feel like this might be the fragile beginning of something really beautiful. They’d decided she’d drive to the shop. It would be easier to find parking with her pale green, VW bug. Luke insisted he knew the perfect place and she was willing to trust him. He took her to a cozy, quaint little cafe with gorgeous, exposed red brick. When she entered, Milly was instantly charmed. There were casual seating areas, and one section of the shop held a few shelves stacked with books. A quick glance showed her the inventory was an interesting mixture of both used and new books. She made a mental note to browse those before she left. A few new-to-her used paperbacks would come in handy, she knew. Glass cabinets along the counter showcased a few mostly eaten cake
